This guy was so smart. He worked in a record store and when people came in and asked the name of the song and hummed a few bars they might be able to find it. So you will notice in every song he repeats the title 10000 times. Brilliant. 100 million records sold. Genius

Disco was fun music to listen and dance to. The late '70s and early '80s were great times for dancing! The music was uplifting and it made everyone feel good. KC and the Sunshine Band had lots of great music ("Get Down Tonight," "I'm Your Boogie Man" from 1977, LOVED that song, and their love ballad "Please Don't Go" late 1979-early 1980). I danced to that song countless times back in the 70's and 80's at discos. At the end of the night they would always play Donna Summer last dance.

I saw this band in concert years after their prime in the year 2000 and they still put on a very good show. I miss music like this and fun concerts like this. It was such simpler times back then, no selfies, no cell phones, just more carefree and fun.

Feel fortunate to have grown up at a time when music was great. Took it for granted in thinking that it would continue and always be that way. Needless to say, I was totally wrong about that.

Michael Wright To me it seems life was a lot easier and more prone to happiness BEFORE the internet and social media were invented. If you wanted to meet people you had to leave your home to do so. The amount of friends one has today seems to be based on how many likes and subscribers you have. No matter where you go people are on their phones. I don’t believe this is a healthy way of socializing. Even the music is alienating.

@@mariogiresi6792 I agree totally. Just recently a friend and I were discussing that very thing. Also how back then after school and on weekends us kids were 'forced' to get to know each other and go out and play because that's all we could do..socialized. skelzie, kick the can, stickball etc. No social media and it was great! Ohman how I miss those times.

KC & his band gave us some good, fun music --We took the kids, 14, 14, 16 to his concert in Houston Texas. I should say my 14-year-old son turned us on to KC. We all enjoyed his concert it very much.
