Chef Romano was a phenomenal guest judge for offering such solid feedback. I would love more vegan judges and to see Romano come back along with more guest judges that can give such thought out critiques.

@VintageVegans same but I'm just thinking he takes the guest judges that he can get for the moment. Hopefully season 3 can be all vegan judges.
@Crikilicious2 ай бұрын
@@OnenessAwareness I actually think it's good to have non-vegan judges. It seems the show is wanting to show that vegan food is accessible and can be as delicious as non-vegan food. Having non-vegan judges that can make that comparison is a positive in my eye.

Love the theme of this episode! Whole plant-based foods are the cheapest in the world; it’s the processed stuff that is spendy. We save tons of money and packaging waste by buying as much as possible in bulk and making as much as we can from scratch. Peace begins on your plate ☮️🌱💚

Always a treat when these drop! Everything looked so good, and I love that Lester with all his playful energy, instead of being laster, was firster! 😋 I thought it was brave that Desiree went for a home feel soup, I would have loved to try the broth, as I enjoy a lighter broth in a veggie soup where the textures of the potatoes and whatnot are the star of the show. Yum yum yum, very inspiring all around!

Watching shows like this, I count my blessings that I live in a part of the less developed world. Every day I can choose from multiple morning markets to shop for the day's meals. Everything is fresh, likely was in the ground or on the tree earlier in the morning or yesterday at the most. No packaging, we all bring our own bags. No processing, who can afford it? Ah, the benefits of living closer to the earth, nearer to the birth of these wonderful fruits and vegetables.

@@WatchDoggyDog Thanks, WDD. It is fantastic, but, respectfully, I don't consider it luck. You can't have it all and I decided that I would give up all that living in a rich country can offer for all that a poorer country can. I have never looked back. My mornings in the local markets are pure magic...and nothing I had before can compare.
@c.leee.56132 ай бұрын
@@MagdalenaShakti Thanks, Magdalena. It is more than wonderful (most days). It's magical to spend a few hours in the morning talking to the stall keepers about their produce, what's good, what's coming later in the month, what this can do for that condition and what that can do to help that! Wouldn't trade it for all the "things" that one can find in a typical western supermarket. Cooking is only the end product of a process that begins walking to the market and selecting what looks good. That's where the imaginative part of cooking starts. That selecting is the genius of this alchemy of cooking that so many of us enjoy. Be well. (I live here, there and the other place...wherever there are more local food stalls/sellers than supermarkets. That's my litmus test!)

Love to see all of the different ways these chefs are making vegan food accessible! My husband and I got the opportunity to eat Chef Logan’s dish from this episode and it was magnificent! Not sure what the guest judge was saying about piling it all together or the size of the cauliflower my husband is blind and his quote was “I am bind and I can pick it up and eat it with no problem” 😂 Also the flavor, richness and tang this dish had was impeccable. (Also please add some audio descriptions to your show! ❤)

I’ve been finding “plant based” to be less intimidating or loaded for folks around me than “vegan”, which I think folks associate more with animal activism or “intense” beliefs. Plant based sounds more like a health and fitness decision that’s approachable. I use both terms at different times just making space for whoever I’m with.

Funny how the top three dishes all contained non-budget friendly ingredients (nooch, jackfruit, raw cashews) AND, you guys send home the most budget-friendly dish, all made with locally obtainable ingredients... Seems more like a popularity contest than a cooking competition. There's obviously favoritism when the top 3 dishes didn't even meet the challenge requirements. 🤷♂️ You did amazing, Desireé!
@robsengahay56142 ай бұрын
I thought the same. If the brief is budget friendly then there should have been a maximum budget set and instead of just picking up ingredients they should have had a price tag on them. It is arguable that those expensive to buy things shouldn’t even have been made available to pick in the first place.
