Boys for Pele is probably my favorite Tori album. I love the baroque style of the songs.

I agree. It's almost as if Tori is an acquired taste, but once you listen for a while you realize she's a genius.

God this song is my soul to music. Every time I listen to it i feel whole again. I can't listen to it enough

I think that was an advantage of having to buy a whole album to listen to one song. I'd heard the "Winter" single and really liked it, then lost my copy and ended up buying Little Earthquakes so I could listen to "Winter" again. At first that was the only song I really liked, but with each listen the others got to me more and more--you have to let it sink in. : )

I want her to keep making music as long as she can, there will never be anyone like her, i love her so much she is an inspration to so many amd please don't forget she is a founder of RAINN, a charity that offers help to women and children in distress

I find some of her best songs to be her simplest....just her and a piano. This song used to make me cry. Some days it still does when I'm feeling down.

@takernotagiver yea. I grew up listening to her so was very surprised to realize that people didn't really like her and that she's not that popular...it kinda hurt cause I always thought she was a genius and that her music is so beautiful. But I get it now that she's way too advanced, musically and emotionally for many.

I believe this song is about Neil Gaiman. They had a very close friendship and still are good friends. She wrote a few more with his name mentioned. Very good song. :)

It´s not going back, basically because she even has lost her voice. Sad but true.

Just like a guitarist gets into their music by headbanging, she gets into her music by moving on the piano bench. It is really the only other part that can move when you play lol.

Actually her lyrics are exceedingly cryptic, however, based on your diction and grammar, I can see how it could have flown right away from your consciousness. Like a little fly, there it goes... "Off with Superfly, sniffing a sharpie pen"

No criptic lyrics here...you take each word at face value and then you know what the song is all about. as is the case for most of toris songs. You just have to be smart enough to catch what she is saying and know the true meaning of it.....
