Somehow during all those off years of not buying any magic cards, I somehow bought myself a pack of Torment and forgot all about it. Going through all my old cards I found that in my one pack I got a foil Nantuko Shade. It's pretty cool.

The reason why that Cephalid is worth so much is there is a pretty popular legacy deck called Cephalid breakfast that uses that card for a two card combo with Nomads en-Kor. Legacy folks love their OG printed foils. Fun break!

I think you haveta be a bit careful with pricing old foils. For some of these cards there's almost no nm/pack fresh cards available and what is being quoted is more nm/lp because those cards have been sittin around for 20+ years gettin dusty. Keep up the old breaks guys! So much fun!!

As much as I love older sets and enjoy booster openings the prices for those older booster boxes are so overpriced for what you can expect to pull. It really hurts.

They're not meant to be opened though. The hefty price for older sealed product is due almost solely to it's rarity.
