Having lived in North Carolina this day was definitely something different and scary because I remember in the 2000’s it used to be extremely rare for a tornado to form in North Carolina and it wasn’t a very clearly defined funnel like that, now it seems that every storm that comes through is capable of producing at least one tornado

This monster formed right behind me and my mom while we were on the way home. Super scary.

It's amazing how fast that tornado was moving considering how big it looked. What an intense tornado outbreak this storm created.

Dakota Parker nope, a lot of people actually they even make memes out of it, I didn’t say all of them did it. The other person said that the Hispanic people are dumb for this when other ethnicities literally do the same thing. Calm down it’s not that deep

I was in Florida some time ago sitting at a Red Light in a 1987 IROC-Z when a small tornado passed right in front of me through the intersection. The hanging streetlights went nearly inverted and debris was going upward, my drivers window bowed in ( I didn't realize glass bends) and had to put both feet on the brake to help keep the rear of my car from drifting while stopped. Scary stuff especially when you get too close

@sirenlover100 with all the rain they probably went through they probably didnt even see the tornado, further on down to the part of the highway where that car came from there is a lot of trees, the highways in that area of NC are mostly heavily surrounded by forests. Enough so that if you don't already know where you're going or have a gps to tell you then it is easy to miss highway exits because you cant see most of them until you're right up on them.(My mom and younger bro live in Apex, NC)

Wow! It sounded like you were so close to it! (Yes. I can listen to this, and I can say that being totally blind does have one advantage; I couldn't see it!) Sometimes, there is an advantage to that, especially when it sounds so close, and you still had to remain calm. I've lived through two tornadoes, and I hope I don't find myself having to go through another one, but if I do, I hope, by the grace of God, I can live to tell about it. I also hope I can save a life.

This is nothing compared to North Georgia.. just 11 days after this (April 27th, 2011) one of Georgia's worst tornado outbreaks, and possibly the worst in the US struck the southeast. 4 Tornadoes were rated EF5 one in Mississippi was strong enough to rip a 2 foot deep trail of dirt out of the ground and scoured concrete from roadways. 324 people were killed throughout the outbreak and April 27th had the most recorded tornadoes in a single day. I was in the high risk area and came very close to being hit by an EF4.

Doesn't matter, if you're that close to one, it's something no matter where you are. I lived in Louisville, KY during the April 3, 1974 Super Outbreak and lived very near the EF-4 that went through Pekin and Henryville, IN in March 2012.
