I can't believe a fellow local chaser from New York has been almost everywhere in the plains, chasing some of the most memorable storms and supercells of the past few years. Love the shot around 5:07 when the trucks show up, it shows people that it is not a timelapse of all those lightning strikes. I tell people when I'm out chasing, that I have seen storms with so many lightning strikes that it looks so much like a strobe light or a timelapse.

The area from Harrisburg to Allentown seem to get a lot of storms, western NJ has a tendency to be pretty active as well. Philly to Trenton is another hot spot, as well as the Jersey Shore. Here in NYC, the usually lose a lot of intensity due to the cooler ocean waters being so nearby

Yeah honestly i do too!! I was on a whale watch during a microburst and I saw a lightning strike that hit the ocean and it looked cool to me and everything but the wind was so strong it made a house calapse.. Still was really awesome storm for vacation and I was 8!! I hate to admit that but it's true

This is true, there are parts of PA that are more active than others. And I love the Adirondack's!! Some great storms there too!

The storm was a bit far away (about 15 miles) and I edited some of the thunder out since it took a while before you heard it. Some of the strikes there was no audible thunder however. Thanks for watching!
