**EDIT** -- I "used" a 7.5 aH battery, but any size battery from the Flex Force line-up can be used in this snowblower.

I love this snowblower. Had it for the past 2 years. Best single stage battery blower on the market.

Considered this model until they announced the 2 stage. That one is a battery drainer. Love the self propel, quietness and power though. Glad I did get the 2 stage because the first time I used it I had 18 inches dumped in 24 hours.

I'd love to use the 2 stage. I can't justify buying one. We usually only get one or two decent snows a year.

The 2 stage looks great. I hope they will improve battery usage and optimize, like implementing direct drive instead of the belts, in the years ahead which will make it a crusher. Ryobi came out with a new 2 stage this year too. It would be interesting to see a head to head of the Ryobi vs Toro 2 stage.

@@cuuplate I think the belt system is ok, I'll take a tried and tested design over something that is new and unknown. Direct drive designs are great though I have to admit, not much can go wrong and youll get the least noise and friction losses in theory. The belts are good quality and should last quite a long time before I need to think about them. Not much optimization is possible besides more power dense batteries in my opinion.

Great video! Your driveway is almost exactly like mine. How long did it take for you to clear your driveway and for your size driveway have you felt the need for another battery?
@jkprojectsnstuff6972 жыл бұрын
My driveway is 55 feet long and about 30 feet wide up at the garage doors. It takes me about 15-20 minutes to clear it depending on the snowfall. I could easily clear the driveway twice on one battery. One day, I cleared my driveway, the neighbor's across the street, and part of another neighbor's driveway on one battery.

how long to charge the battery from empy to 100%? Thanks for posting this video.

This may be the biggest drawback to the Toro 60V Lineup. Although I've never really timed it, it seems to take about 3 hours. I do have three 7.5 aH batteries, so I never really have that battery anxiety. But, the Toro professional grade, heavy duty 60V push mower comes with a quick charger. Not sure how quick, but it does exist with Toro. Thanks for the question!

Is there a speed control for the impeller? For those areas where you might not want to throw the snow very far.
@jkprojectsnstuff6972 жыл бұрын
No, there isn't. There is only the MAX and ECO settings. I have noticed that ECO doesn't throw snow as far as MAX.
@buttonsangel30742 жыл бұрын
@@jkprojectsnstuff697 Thanks. I just find I don't always need to throw it that far, so dropping to ECO might help in those areas.

I get a lot of snowpack on the back tires in that kind of snow. It makes it quite hard to push - feels like it's got square wheels. Because of my advancing age and lack of flexibility this is a bit more than a nuisance. Any advice?
@jkprojectsnstuff6973 жыл бұрын
Now that you've mentioned it, I have noticed the wheels on this Toro 60V getting packed up with snow and that I was having to drag it at times.. Is this the model of snow blower that you have?
@thebigswede17362 жыл бұрын
@@jkprojectsnstuff697 it is. It works great especially in cold unpackable snow. It's just those wheels in good snowman ⛄ snow..argh! Otherwise I love it.
@jkprojectsnstuff6972 жыл бұрын
@@thebigswede1736 I've heard of people using slick spray for the snowblower chute. I wonder if it would help if sprayed on the wheels. Maybe snow wouldn't stick to them anymore. I may give it a try the next time we get a snowman kinda snow! Thanks for the comment, much appreciated.
