Some rear aero parts would be good to see. Rear diffuser, canards, etc. Smaller pulley, some nice Corsa pipes, intake, maybe some bigger injectors. Those would be a good base line to start lol. Absolutely love the car by the way. I'm a huge Chevy muscle guy. Mainly Corvette, but the ZL1 1LE is about as close as you can get, without dropping that Corvette money lmao.

Yea the calibrations on the 10-speed are awesome, very intuitive. I also like how if you stab the throttle the computer knows to keep the revs up and stay in gear. Coming from manuals all my life, I'm glad I got this option.

Great choice on ZL1 you can mod that thing out on a decent budget and it won’t cost you another car to do it. Everyone loves a GTR but they cost way to much to mod and nobody in their right mind should pay 30k over sticker. That’s why I always hated Ferrari and Lamborghini to get a allocation. I’m a Porsche guy all the way because of my heritage and I also appreciate American made. Personally I like the ZL1 and I can only imagine how that thing would sound with a set of Borla headers and exhaust. I still own the first car I bought at 18 my 1968 SS 427 Camaro!

Read door jam when airing up a tire as it will tell you recommended air pressure for tires on the car. It is not 40psi for your ZLE, I believe it's the same 32psi as it is for my ZL1.

Pretty sure every modern car disengages the compressor clutch on the AC during wide open throttle. Also GTR is more expensive but it’s ability to put power down especially higher horsepower is hard to beat. Having owned 11 LS cars I can say I don’t miss rwd

I love it! I am in the phx area and happened to stumble upon your channel from your titan7 wheels video. Any ways I just wanted to say I love it and have been down this road already. Looked at civic r, great car and fast and mod friendly. But hated the interior, drove the camaro zl1 as well, nice car but to bulky i felt same for the hellcats from dodge, great car but to much hype for what it is. I did drive a gtr as well this last year until. As you did point out over 700hp you need $$$ to rebuild the trans and motor to safety handle it. I also tried a sti nice and great build potential,but you don't like manuals, which I fully understand. I personally went with a vw golf r,for a nice daily. However if I was going to get a new car it would be probably the audi rs3, few mods and they already have them running low 9s. Without full motor rebuild and bolt on. If can't already tell i have had tons of time working professionally in the auto sector. Just wanted to say great local channel! Can't wait to see the civic wrapped.

Don't forget that you can manually change user settings in the infotainment system i.e. Suspension and Exhaust versus the automatic mode on the center console. I have the 6 speed manual. Slight difference from Sport and Track with the 6 speed. In Sport, it responds better in the dig but in Track mode, it responds better in the higher RPMs.

Thats what I've always loved about American muscle cars. Yeah maybe some of the euros and Japanese cars are more refined (and more 3xpensive)but dollar for dollar bang for buck you just can't beat a V8 Ford or Chevy in cost, availability of parts, and the ability of them to make power reliably.

you handled that flat tire like a champ. my sensor goes on and i go nuts. i panic and freak. i dont like buying new tires when i just bought new ones. i just bought some new wheel and tires a few months ago and one of them shows funny pressure readings. my cars tire sensor is on but some weeks the tire seems like its losing and other weeks it doesnt. honda says it is but couldnt didnt point out where on the sidewall as i cant find it. anyways i freak out easy for car trouble related things. glad to see the kit worked. i need to buy a kit like that to keep me feeling safe.

You can make 820-840whp (Just need a good tuner) on a gtr with fbo e85 with upgraded turbos and intercooler on stock transmission and stock engine! :)

how would you rate the ride quality on the street? a lot of reviewers called it too stiff for the road lol but then again, those are the same reviewers that said the Veloster N was too stiff and after owning one myself i found that kind of an exaggeration.

The AC is cut out by the computer at full throttle so that you don't get the parasitic drag from the AC compressor clutch eating that power. It's the same reason that a lot of tuners of older sport compact cars and track cars will have the AC and Power Steering deleted. That way every ounce of power the engine is making, is transferred directly to the trans and subsequently the wheels.

@@TORQToolbox yeah, I can definitely understand that. It should be something that is stated when someone buys a car as well. As an Auto tech, you wouldn't believe the amount of times I've had to explain that to people (usually older, retired guys), who have bought a ZL1 1LE or newer Corvette Z06 or ZR1, then bring it in to the shop after getting on it really good for the first time and thinking that the AC has something wrong with it. Is definitely forward thinking, but there should be an option to turn it off if you don't want the function.

If you're referring to the C7 Z06. They share the same LT4 supercharged engine, but the ZL1 has a faster and stronger transmission. Strangely the ZL1 is faster than the C7 on a road course, and in the 1/4 mile they have near identical times

Hondata will void warranty. Have it professionally installed. Hondata seems very confident about their system... They had it on their daily drivenType R for over a year and no issues.
