Thank you for providing this video -- it's greatly appreciated! I have been looking for something like this to monitor the health of my car. AAA+++
@Rob-eg8qc7 ай бұрын
Had the pro version for a few years now, great for checking eml fault codes problems and reset , also set alarms for high coolant and oil temperatures, revs, speed etc, good to check the aircon pressures, fuel usage, battery voltage . All engine sensors and any misfires on each cylinder.

Can you check the car mileage?
@Rob-eg8qcАй бұрын
@freedomlandz The only mileage you can check is the amount of miles you have done since the last fault code scan.

Hello,nice video my friend.Happy new year also.In order to monitor the live dashboard indications do i have to enter the app or does it have any feature of poping a window when navigating through home menu or other apps of the unit????Have you discovered if the app closes when going backto the main menu????
@YvonSmartАй бұрын
Hi, thanks! Launching the app loads the main, but you can change the settings to always launch live data dashboard. When you go the your phone's home screen, the app stays open in the background (except if the phone has limited RAM or processing power). I'm not aware of any pop up widget from home screen, but maybe there are plugins for that. In my testing, the app does not close unexpectedly

How did you download the torque pro app onto the head unit? Did the unit come with the google play store or did you do a work around? The latest trend is for head units to have android auto with an inability to download to the head unit.
@YvonSmart11 ай бұрын
Hi, this head unit comes with the google play store and services, I installed the torque pro app without any work around. I could have also downloaded and installed the .APK file from the web. This head unit supports both apple car play and android auto, but is still like an android tablet. Once connected to Wi-Fi, the play store is yours. I made videos of the installation and follow up.

What's the best way to setup dashboards for 2 vehicles? Looks like toggling vehicle profiles doesn't produce custom pages specific to that vehicle.
@YvonSmart2 ай бұрын
You can have multiple Profiles for different cars, but unfortunately switching between them does not load a fresh dashboard. It uses the same dashboard. So if you need to have different dashes for different profiles, you will have to export multiples dashboard settings and load them when you connect to a different car

hii , can you know the real milieage of your car using torque pro ? and how to do soo ? i have renault clio 4

It could, but it is not guaranty since cars don't store mileage data in the same place and sometimes won't even let some pro tools access it

Hi, thanks for your great video. Notice that some of dials have a blinking green dot. Why some are blinking, some dials are just lighted. Thanks
@YvonSmart7 ай бұрын
The blinking dot insures the user that the data reading on that gauge is live (real-time). This way, if there is communication issue with the Bluetooth module, you know that value is no longer accurate because the blinking stops. For those that are just lighted, the reading shows "0" when the module disconnects

Can an alarm be set for coolant temp? Good vid by the way

Thanks! Yes, it supports alarms. You can make it say out loud when coolant reaches operating temperature in "settings/Speech & Alarms settings". Custom alarms can also be set for each gauge in "settings/manage alarms/menu/add alarm"

Thanks for a great review. Can you make it show your transmission gear selected??
@YvonSmart9 ай бұрын
It's possible, you just need to lookup the right codes for your car and add them to a custom PID . I couldn't find the codes for that and ended up getting a scangauge 3 that generates all codes automatically. I also reviewed it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mqjaqWCqbpd5bbc

Do you have to pay extra for the specific car brand pliug ins? Like Toyota plugin, kia plugin? If so how much extra do they charge?
@YvonSmart9 ай бұрын
Most plugins are paid, but I don't think they are worth it. Most have bad ratings and to be honest, the default Torque pro app already does everything. I haven't use any downloaded plugin in this video (only the six preinstalled ones)

Yes, you can use it to scan for all fault codes. From the home screen, turn the wheel and select "Faults codes", click on the scan icon to scan the connected vehicle the codes. You can save, load, share and search logs. It even supports Freeze frame and allows you to clear fault codes like on a conventional car scanner

@klaatu24 күн бұрын
@@YvonSmart There are no ScanGauge or UltraGauge or Torque codes, they are all manufacturer codes. If you have the true code, you can make it work on any of these.

@@YvonSmart So it looks like in your video you have a non oem head unit. In my truck I just have the factory head unit. It does wireless carplay. I'm just wondering if the Torque App is compatible with Carplay so it'll project up on the screen or if I would have to use a USB or something like that.

How can i save parametars that i can show to someone where was the problem when it hapoened? Is this possible?
@YvonSmart8 ай бұрын
If you mean logging, then yes. You can set up logging by clicking on the gear icon from the home screen, select "settings", then "Data Logging & Upload", "Select what to log". It opens the "log PID manager" page, click "options" on the top right, "Select what to log". It takes you to all you car's sensor gauges and you can select all gauges you want Torque Pro to log and click "OK". They will all be logged and saved in "Log PID manager" page for you to view or share. You can also save engine fault codes. From home screen, select "Fault codes", scan for fault codes, then "Menu", "save fault log" . It also supports freeze frames in the same menu
