Just grad from MSc NUS last year and get sponsorship to work in SG right after graduation smoothly. My grade is really low almost got the warning notice. Not because I don’t study hard but students are too smart here.😢 My income is slightly over the CS students in the video which is quite average for an IT industry i guess. I work for a startup not a big enterprise. With this amount, it’s wonderful for me already bc it’s a stress-free job. I wouldn’t expect much like 10k. The more income they pay you, the more stressful work to do. I’m happy with my life now.

讲到NTU 和 NUS 我不得不说，那么一个九流的大学，还敢说什么最好！ 它们的医学博士不是用来开MC 就是卖Amway。在大马这些工作是考不到SPM才做的。 还有，它们的Engineering Top Students 就连大马学府SPM level 最基本的conservation of energy 都不懂，不相信的话可以问问他们，电动汽车怎样能帮助减碳排放，看看他们怎样回答……我还不知道怎么称得上最好。 我说的都是真的，新加坡不然分割那么多年了，英国美国德国支助了那么多钱，到头来还是一个食物水和电力供应还需要依赖外国支援的落后国，我还真的是无言。 不过有一点我还真的是佩服新加坡的，就是新加坡造假数据的能力。总理夫人拿每年一亿薪金那么不正常反贪局可以看不到。更令人佩服一个连谷歌都能找到财政处理出现问题的国家竟然可以排上corruption free 排名前几名，还真的不得不佩服新加坡对贪污的管控。

In fact, given Singapore's high cost of living, I believe it is quite reasonable for NUS and NTU graduates to demand such a starting salary. Taking PRC as an example, about 20% of their secondary school cohort will eventually get into their first-tier colleges such as Tsinghua, Peking, Zhejiang, Xiamen, and so on, the percentage is quite similar to ours, and their starting pay usually ranges from 10k to 20k RMB, with that amount of money they can buy a lot of things in China, in other words, their top-tier graduates have stronger buyer power than ours; around 40% of their cohort will be admitted to second-tier colleges such as Wenzhou, Chengdu, Fuzhou, Yantai and so on, again, such percentage is quite similar to our Polytechnic graduates, their salaries usually range between 4k to 8k RMB; their remaining 20 to 30% will be admitted to third-tier universities and technical institutes, similar to our ITE and private uni &private diploma graduates, with most of them still able to obtain government-degrees due to the oversupply of universities in China. One thing to take note is that, different from Singapore, those from China with only diplomas and technical certificates were truly rabak students, they either come from very poor villages that cannot even afford proper secondary school education or did not put in any effort to study.

@@daniellew2271 I'm not familiar with the situation in Singapore, but the starting salary for doctors in HK is like 3x higher than the average. That's why I thought the great difference in starting salaries said something about the difference in demands. Also, every year the high school students with the highest scores are interviewed and most of them did choose medicine.

Doctors are one of the top earners in Singapore but salary for nurses are just decent. Though have to add that not all doctors earn obscene amount of cash. Those that earns a lot are specialists. General practitioners don't exactly earns that much.

@@lnli3478 the medicine degree in NUS is heavily subsidized . Hence the doctors are bonded and under housemanship for first few years. Most of their salary will reach 10k usd after 5-10 years of service
