print sharing? its best if they all have the printer installed on their computer so they don't have to depend on the main computer to be on all the time

you should be able to use the same password as long as you have all the correct settings on each unit. worse case just create one for each i guess

Hello! The gmail that I currently need to set up for scan-to-email is managed by my organization (I'm the Admin) and none of the gmail settings are being shown (Apps passwords). Should I switch anything so I could fix SMTP authentication? Thank you.

seems you need to stick to the old fashion method. the link below is for a Konica Minolta copier. its the only one i have with the old fashion method of setting up scan to email using gmail. View this and just pay attention to the gmail part of the video which talks about the gmail settings and incorporate that into your toshiba settings. should work fine. scrap that i found it it doesnt show up on the page but if you search for it it does and you can add a code thnx for that . now i only have to figure out /setup the efilling stuff and i got my low print 55000 of which 6000 color prints estudio 2050c for 50bucks working in top shape for the home lol

if you followed the instructions and you are still having issues then there are many factors that can be causing this from firewalls, router restrictions, etc. This will require further troubleshoot from a network Tech. I have seen Norton antivirus cause mysterious issues....if you are running Norton, try disabling it temporarly and see if this is the cause. good luck!

Yes possibly. There can be many reasons no way to know unless you continue troubleshooting. If you exhaust everything you possibly can on your own it's time to call an authorized Toshiba service provider to assist you further

No matter how many times I put in the 16 digit app password, it won't save it. (Yes, I'm hitting "save" the second time). I tried with both Chrome & Firefox browsers. Is there a newer version of Top Access? Mine is Copier Firmware Version T212HD0W2194. Mine looks a little different than what's in this video. For example on your "Network" window it says "Basic Settings". Mine does not. It starts the left hand column with TCP/IP, Filtering, IPv6, and so on. Maybe my version can't handle a 16 character password???

Firmware version you described doesn't tell me anything. There's thousands of different ones ... You need to tell me what model you have.. I have to guess you have an old machine which they stopped coming out with firmware keeping this from working with the new Google updates

@@twincountyrealtythat is an older model and i can't remembet if they stopped creating new firmware for that model. I recommend having your service provider update you to the latest or last firmware upgrade available and try it again. If it doesn't work you may need to settle for scan to shared folder to pc

This was the biggest nightmare change. FYI, O365 is next. Same thing, App Password. Unless someone continues to use the Legacy auth.

Sorry. Thought you were a network tech… Just like Gmail, Office 365 is changing to Multifactor Authentication, or MFA, in October. Some people have been migrating over to that already which in turn causes the machines to not scan to email. Hence the June nightmare of Gmail needing 2 Step Verification turned on (a type of MFA) and App Password. So, Office 365 has a “legacy” (old) authentication way such as App Password to use as a workaround. BTW, in Gmail, if someone changes the main account password, App Passwords are removed and need to be recreated. Unless Gmail finally fixed that, but thought I’d give you a heads up.

It's good to know that if they change the password it also changes the app. I didn't know that was true I thought the app stayed the same. Yes, 365 will follow
