What a nice n easy way to repair the broken hinge on my Toshiba laptop. Thanks for saving me a few quid (UK). I used Super glue and Bicarbonate of soda to glue the broken plastic pieces together. Look this trick up on KZbin. It works great on lots of plastics. Thanks again. Bill K.

Not sure hot glue is the way to go. If that hinge tightens or even over time, that glue wont cope with the opening and closing forces exerted on it.

Hot glue, really?! This is only a temporary fix and the hinges should really have been replaced otherwise it's just going to break again in no time :(
@Customer22374rt Жыл бұрын
wrong . this is a permanent fix only if you do it right

thanx.. i am in Saudi Arabia can you show me hot glue packing pic.
I have exact same problem with my toshiba laptop. The design of hinges with weak plastic attachments are inherently defective and will fail no matter what. Only real solution is to fasten the hinge to back cover using through bolts going right through the back cover. I believe there is class action lawsuit against Toshiba for these defective hinges.
