Ive been subscribed awhile now.Ive not seen any sketchy content.I recommend this site to guys at church who have young children.Your site is perfect for them.Your childlike enthusiasm is fun.Like a kid you try anything and get excited catching anything .You bankfish which a guy with kids and no boat can do as you show here.Its great,I am the lousiest fisherman anybody could meet.I dont catch squat while surrounded by those who do.But these fire me up,gonna go fishing soon.Thanks for taking us fishing.

You don't have to set the hook with circle hooks, Leave the rod in the holder and reel down. Thats why you lost the first fish to take the pork steak.

Bowfin truly are monsters. They hit like a truck and fight better than fish twice their size. Nice video, I certainly notice that I pay more attention to spillways as I drive by than I did before watching your videos. Keep up the good work!

Recently found your channel and you've rekindled my love and desire to fish after almost a two year hiatus. Went out today and had a blast catching bluegill, green sunfish, bass, and several channel catfish. Also love seeing the bowfin love, here in Texas, like gar, they often get treated as trash fish and just get killed on sight. They are some of the most beautiful fish to catch during their spawn.

Nice bowfins Nick! All 4 of those items catch fish no doubt. It's preference mainly but I prefer braid for sensitivity while being strong, lack of stretch and diameter. You can use stronger lb braid with a thinner diameter than mono or fluorocarbon. My 50 lb braid is less than the diameter of 10 lb mono. I also prefer circle hooks for most bait options as the fish hook up more often without my having to hold the line and feel bites to set the hook on. I do use many types of hooks though for many situations. I don't Ned rig a circle hook, or tie flies with them but they do make solid connections and typically in the corner of the mouth.

I'm a catfisherman and strictly use circle hooks. When you get a bite you don't have to pull the rod and set the hook, just give it a couple reels the pick up the rod and start bringing in the beauty's. Idk about bowfin, they don't live where they live. But my opinion with non-artificial baits(food/stink/live) circle is king!
