Hunting bans lead to overpopulation and a depletion of resources. Excess population will starve or expand the habitat, to include human settlements, looking for food. This is a safety hazard to both human and bear populations. Hunting controls the population and licensing fees are major sources of funding for conservation.

Or you let the ecosystem find it's natural balance, after all it worked before dickheads started decimating entire species.

Can you show us an example of this happening?

Congratulations, people in Europe are recognising the importance of population for both apex predators and the prey species to maintain a healthy environment. Yellowstone & now BC will set examples of positive change.

B.C. you are going to regret it. I love how people in big cities think they know best what happens in the wild. You are going to see a down fall in other animals. Then you will see the Griz die off slowly bc of no food. People who hunt are your allies in protecting public land. Help us help you. You just put a bunch of people who send most of the time in the backcountry in danger.
@jaycvu5 жыл бұрын
Ty and Riss They dont get it, and instead of spending money in licensing, gear and traveling. People will just go somewhere else. When grizzlys start to kill people, the might regret it...
@sid-yq6rh4 жыл бұрын
Very true but most of the hunters over their were just trophy hunting....taking the skin and leaving all the flesh behind .... That was a waste. The govt will take necessary measures. I don't have any problem with harvesting from the wild but trophy hunting is just cruel
@ryanhopwood11483 жыл бұрын
No that’s false. Over 90% of grizzly bear hunts in BC was by residents for meat harvest.

Short win but once the bears exceed the carrying capacity of the land. Surplus hunting will have to come back. Prime example is Yellowstone.
@jaycvu5 жыл бұрын
Kyle Medina If people lived up northern BC or Alberta, they would know that we have grizzly over population, when they decimate the prey population , the big cities hippies might look back and be ashamed of themselves.
@steveh18445 жыл бұрын
@@jaycvu The populations had been maintaining themselves without human intervention - this is how evolution works. Far worst effects of prey population are effected through timber / mining industries and human settlements - As you care so much about prey populations, you could actually become a hippy and start protecting prey habitats - how ironic?
@jaycvu5 жыл бұрын
@@steveh1844 You keep your hippy live style. The mere fact that you are alive , have as much as negative impact as everyone else. So help the earth... I'm team human, we are here and not going anywhere. so we are the only thing that can do conservation in an intelligent way, and letting apex predators run amok is not one of them. Your comment would make sense if humans were not around, but we are and by just letting things run their natural cycle isn't the the right way to go about it. But you rather destroy entire species than look at this situation in a logic way. Start make your protest signs because In a few years when you read that is open season on grisly bears and the reasons why , you can be first in line...

@@EXPOSEDWildlifeConservancy what If there's bad berry or a salmon year. What if there's not enough food for all the bears. Here in finland we had a bad berry year and one bear was so hungry that it killed an elkhound and dragged it out from it's cage, because it was so hungry. They also start eating trash and from that it wery likely may become a habit to them. I as a hunter care about nature and i am a conservationist. Many famous hunters have also been one of the biggest contributers to conservation in The history, such as Theodore Roosevelt, Jim Corbett, Frederick Selous. And hunting conservation has saved many Animals like markhor, rhino or american bison.

LUNGBUSTER CRNVR I don’t care about human lives? They’re humans they have advanced brains to protect themselves and the eco system is not the government business to control it, before there was a government everytime was okay you literally don’t use your brain and rage at people and call them ignorant, if you’re gonna be an idiot in the wild then yeah I don’t care fuck you man it’s your fault for being an idiot in their home

@w-james92775 жыл бұрын
You should hunt as long as you abide by these rules... 1. No weapons of any kind. They remove all the "sport" out of the picture. Needs to be a fair fight. 2. You must walk. No driving your truck to the middle of a park and killing one 10 meters off the side of the road. 3. No pictures with the animal. You're respectful to it for giving up it's life for you. 4. No trophy. You take what you need, meat e.c.t. and that's it. No head to mount above the mantelpiece. Very disrespectful. 5. You must eat it. No killing for the sake of it. 6. No juveniles or adults in their prime. They must either be old or sick. Survival of the fittest.
