So far so good, it's very easy to hold on to with workouts I do with it, although I do wish though I would have ordered a heavier one, the ones at the gym I used to go to must have been overweight because this one felt pretty light compared to those that said they were also 8 pounds. Great product though, I love it and plan on keeping it for a while at least until I need a bigger one

Great workout. I love my medicine ball and I'm always looking for new workouts. I only made two modifications to this workout that I also recommend for anyone that is older and a little out of shape: On the squats I hold the ball tightly against my stomach (just below the solar plexus) instead of thrusting it forward. This workout already has a lot of shoulder involvement so I focus on legs with this one. On the pushups I go from my knees, not my toes, and and don't go as deep because of my shoulder joints.

You could also use a dumbbell (for most of the exercises) if you have one handy :)

@mcnabb91 Go get one! Just kidding, if you don't have one, I would recommend checking out any one of our other many, many workout videos that don't require any equipment at all. Some of the exercises in this routine are specifically meant for a medicine ball (i.e. the MB push ups or MB slams) but many of them could be done with some other weight - just don't try to slam any dumbbells on the floor because it wont work ;) -Kelli

The workouts in this video is TOUGH (at first). LOL But now that I have accomplished at least two exercises in this video, I'm capable at fulfilling the other 8 exercises. LOL Thank you for sharing. This is awesome. I do them at my own pace. It was tough doing the pushups, but I got it! Tummy/core areas are showing signs of improvement (in the first week)!

I can't wait to get a ball. Our kids love it when we watch the Medicine Ball workouts, and for now we use toy balls. We call this your "Spider Man Ball", and thank you for the great exercises that will probably be used by myself, husband and two children (ages 4, and 2).

What a heck of a workout. I started with a 5kg medicine ball, i thought I was going to die lol! I recommend start with a much lighter ball first guys, and slowly build up your strength, stamina and balance

Perfect workout, some exercises are pretty tough. Be cautious and choose the right ball weight to not damage your shoulders or back. Apart of that: Great sweat and proper toning!

Great workout, thank you!, However I needed to modify some of the exercises because I only have a 12lb medicine ball. For pushups, put both hands-on medicine ball due to past shoulder and wrist injuries. Throwing ball to ground, I put ball over my head and then brought ball to floor while squating...keeping back in alignment and only bending at the knees. Overhead transfer/balance, handed ball to other hand, but lowered ball straight down vs outward, then lifted ball back straight up over head to hand to other hand...repeat.

Looks like an awesome workout. I have a similar build to the guy the in the video. What lb ball is he using? What weight do you recommend for a someone of similar build when beginning this routine? Obviously the ideal is switching weights depending on the exercise, but i'm not ready to invest in an entire set.

just take your ball and throw it down but don't let go. you get the downward momentum as if you were catching the ball. I just do more reps than the video says

Really liked this would give it 3 stars of five because you won't go to failure without really heavy weights which can compromise form...this is great though. If you don't have a heavy #medicineball for ball slamming then do what I did and use a heavy sand ball but thrust down just don't drop the ball. So I slammed with it slamming lol.

+Alberto Hernandez Start with three times a week, then increase as your fitness improves. Realistically you could work your way up to every day if you wanted; it's a low impact exercise. Depends on your how your joints and muscles feel every day, so listen to your body.
