I want to thank you guys for working so hard and showing everybody how to replace some seals. My bottom seal in the chain case is leaking just a little bit so I decided to come on KZbin and take a look and oh my gosh here's exactly what I needed to watch. By the way you ruined my day because of all this work that I will have to be doing, I am 71 years old And this might take me a whole week to do , but what the heck as my wife will sit there and watch and make sure I put every nut and bolt back in the same place as they came out of because for some reason old ladies have a perfect memory😳😳😳👍

Remington should consider the jackshaft update kit..removes that junky wobble bearing and stronger shaft as well...and stops the gear from walking and stripping...I did that to my 14 cat...cat sells it as a kit

Just a tip incase he is going through belts on the 1100. I have the same sled and would go through belts every 500-700 miles, so I put a set of Team Clutches on, similar to what the newer cats went to I think in the 16-20 sleds. I can easily get 2000 miles of hard running on a belt now.

Great video Pete. It needs a 2015 jack shaft update kit so your not back doing this in the near future. Comes with new bearings motor mounts ect. These early 1100s need this to make the chain cases bullet proof when they are tuned. As well as some hyvo gears and chain from hurricane performance.

Cool instructional video even though I'll never own another Artic Cat again lol... Never done this with a jackshaft but plenty of cars and trucks. If you got a race that spins on the shaft you can whack the surface of the shaft with a round punch, when it dents the shaft it displaces the material from the dent up to a mound around it which will take up enough clearance to bite the race and keep it from spinning... Its a sketchy fix but its free and will get ya back to doing burn outs around the neighborhood lol. Happy Year Pete, hopefully we get some snow before summer is back..

Great video! What's your thoughts on removing seals from new bearings and repacking them with better grease. I typically use Lucas Red n Tacky. I just feel like the oe grease is of poor quality and there's not usually much in there. I'm just making sure my stuff doesn't break as often but I guess if your buddies stuff breaks more often, you get to drink more beer.
