Mistake in the video at around 8:05 I have no idea why I said the narrator was from 300, I think I had that movie on my mind as I referenced it in the choke point bit of custom maps. Anyway what I should have said was the narrator reminded me of Merlin in Excalibur played by Nicol Williamson, his portrait actually looks like him too.

I bought this game about a week ago - before watching this video... I'm glad to hear you enjoy it too! I used to struggle with the first game, but I am doing much better with this campaign. I started with the Empire and I've currently got Norska on the ropes - and I am assaulting the Orks/Goblins and Undead to the east!

I played almost every game in the Total War franchise and even though I do love the newer ones, I can't for the life of me understand why they started limiting the amount of armies you have. Forcing Lords/Generals at the head of your armies and limiting the numbers you have just forces all battles to be gigantic, never any small skirmishes. It also trivialises any garrisons, you will always just sweep basically uncontested over an empty settlement because you can't control how much of a garrison you have there besides the pathetic defensive buildings which make no difference. It's so frustrating because I think it would make an otherwise amazing game perfect if they just structured the armies the way they used to all the way up to Shogun 2.

It's my first of this sort of game, the campaign looks a lot like Civ with micromanaging, however the added battles, dinosaurs and free for all battles sold it for me. Having a lot of fun as a new player in the campaign and getting the hang of it.

But do the units actually interact with eachother? I was disappointed with the first one. Unit interactions in combat were pretty shit. Just random swinging without a lot of connection happening and people randomly falling over. Shogun2 did a far better job it's disappointing seeing it go backwards

I would add a brain to some of the factions who pester you every turn with the same offer :) I would also like a mode where on the campaign map the battle lines are already drawn and you fight a huge strategic battle from the off rather than forge alliances on the fly.

vortex quest system is pretty cool...but what really pisses me off are the chaos warriors and faction interventions that spawn literally out of thin air almost right next to my goddamn capital ready to fuck my shit up on a seconds notice. they need to work out on balancing that to the point where people can atleast whats coming. i spent 5k g or 4k (whatever which ) on a middle level dark elf intervention and it spawned some shitty spearmen units and archers on an elf island literally across two oceans but the kicker was that it came with a level 35 dreadlord....tf?

I still kind of feel the whole 'this could have been an expansion' applies to this game though. I'm happy to hear they've added a lot of new stuff, but I'm not completely convinced it's enough in terms of game mechanical changes. I love the dinos and the skaven. So I probably eventually will get the game anyway. I really liked the first one for being different. So if this one is even more different that's definitely great news.

Hello there Ksan, I think you might be okay for visibility considering you can zoom in the camera quite closely and pause the game at most points it would matter, but it wouldn't be easy for me to say what would work for you. The unit management/tactics of the game can be a challenge to learn at first, but it might take some watching tutorial videos. I'm sorry you find it difficult to enjoy video games you would like to play due to your limitations.

Now I've played it since I left you that message I can see that some of the tool tips for what things are, and what effects things have on units can be very hard to read if you have poor eyesight. Hopefully you can find some nice youtube tutorials or something that will help you feel your way through all the menus and stuff you need to. All the best to you!!

Yo, The vortex and ritual mechanics are a placebo, there is no real pressure here. If the AI would finish the last ritual, the player gets to fight one last battle that is piss easy to win according to what you can read about it. If you win that battle, the ritual won't finish and you won't lose. This 'last' battle happens everytime any AI player would finish the last ritual that is needed to win the game.

Total war 1 had terrible sieges. I didnt see any footage of sieges in this video. Can we expect to be buying mutiple downloads in the first few months as portions of the game will be held back at launch? Like they did with total war 1. To get a complete game you had to invest over $100 +. Any info about these would be helpful.

The games good but you forgot to mention how terrible the AI is. Most people play single player but the difficulty simple gives the ai better stats and more cheats. I want a intelligent ai not a steroid one who's blobs up! Love your wabs!

Units still seem to be linked to each other. Like all Horses move legs at exact same time and unit gets stuck in the battle if 1 soldier gets attacked. Same crap since Empire

The game may be great but if you add up the things you need to buy for the full experience you go to about 155 euro is that really a sound investment? 59.99+59.99 for the 2 games and 35 for the DLC, unless you borrow your mom's credit card with a death wish you should wait for winter steam sale. I was going to buy the game the first time I saw a youtuber play it but the moment I found out you need 2 60euro games to get access to content and DLC on top because I really like how the tomb kings play...
