It had potential, was fun for about 30 hours, then the developers released shit patch after shit patch which broke the game so much and ruined everything, they also rushed release from Early Access to go with the Warhammer sale that was on, the game is still 100% in Early Access

I have to agree! I've been playing the hell out of this game non stop since buying it. It's the best game I've ever seen to mix some of the elements of Civilization with the old Warlords series and other Warhammer games. It's really is the best Warhammer game I've played to date and really $40 is worth the Content it has which is quite a lot when you actually start playing it and realize all the replay value it has. Every map is different and lots of different strategies to try with each faction. Only thing lacking is the types of artifacts you can find/buy. Ones you Find shouldn't be the same as the ones you can buy and they should have more variety to throw in a little more luck factor to a game which really has hardly no RNG. Awesome multiplayer options too and even Co-Op. I hope to see this one grow a lot!

Just got this game on sale for 3 quid and man what a 3 quid it is. I had 1 game with 2x necrons on a team 2x orcs on a team and i had SM with a Astra militarum on my team. game lasted 18 hours. Gonna try necrons next :). Everything Mack said was on point

The lack of Diplomacy, means of expanding without war or good economy and bank game means 100% of the Playtime boils down to "Spam lotso Units. That's it" Playing it is like tossing a coin. Do you completely roll over the AI in your first engagement or do you sit there both sides throwing units at each other for 2 Hours until someone *cough* space marine orbital bombardment *cough* snipes the Production. While it is very "Warhammer" it makes for a very poor, tedious and bland 4X Experience.

At first I was all "OH NO NOT A 40K SHIT PILE AGAIN!" Then I realized it was a serious crack at 4X in 40k setting and that frown went upside down. My bet is this is a probing game. 40k has a shitload of factions and subfactions, and if this base game sells well I'd bet they'll make content for the rest.

Nah. The emphasis is completely different and the combat is actually much more intricate, but in a good way. All the factions have similarities on the surface but play quite differently. If you like busting heads in a 4X kind of game, its a shot.
