Great interview! He was really humble and u gave him heaps of space to open up. I’ve missed these music chats 🙏🙏

Probably the best conversation/interview he’s done, very philosophical and thoughtful.

Great to see/hear Billy has not lost his gift of gab... as somebody who grew up with similar musical influences, I find his viewpoints rarely fail to resonate. I hope it takes a looooong time for WPC to finish his perfect rug; tho he's already created the perfect riff [insert your favorite here]. 💚

That was fucking awesome. WPC understands how to reinvent, stay relevant, & be ahead of his time. His dedication & passion for music (and wrestling) is something I could listen to him talk about all day. He has the same versatility and drive AB demonstrates during live performances.

He's been vegan too long, I bet he's borderline anemic and just overall not very healthy anymore 😢

Billy's very close with the Strawberry Fields story, John Lennon lived with his Aunt Mimi near Strawberry Field Salvation Army home (it was a children's home, not a mental institution) when growing up as a child in Liverpool, John Lennon took the name "strawberry fields" as an image when writing the song to evoke the visceral, emotional memories of childhood and longing (including for his mother Julia, from whom he didn't live with for many years as a child). It's my favourite song of all time too x

I swear it's like you were reading my mind - I had been wondering how you felt about WPC /Pumpkins. You are both so introspective /intelligent - I would love to pick your brains. Again, thanks for posting this today.

Speaking to being a newly minted fan in 2006 to the Pumpkins. I was disappointed at the multiple covers. I ended up with the Target version because I had a gift card. Only to find out there were other versions. Didn’t understand the album at the time. And I ended up with the Best Buy album of the year much later. I lucked out I got all the songs available during that era. Gossamer and Superchrist were rough omissions from the album.

This should be uncut, we lose a lot here with the edits. Hence, we lose the esencse, as it was said, "there's something like a secret sauce".

Disagree that Machina is a classic. Has the worst mix imaginable. Machina II was better but nobody heard it.

I heard it and I love it. A lot.

Most people listen to music on phones, shit headphones or cheap speakers. Listen to it on vinyl on a good sound system, it’s a beautiful album. M2 was big in the day.
@Zen-yt8jj6 күн бұрын
Machina should be regarded as a double album like it was meant but the record company killed it. As a double album ia great
@werideatdusk6 күн бұрын
Worst mix??? I'd take the Machina mix over Zeitgeist or even the newer stuff. At least it was a mix driven by trying to do something creative and different.
