The question now is, does he continue being a privileged white male, unaffected by gravity, wind resistance and lactic acid, basically mocking all the “less Caucasian” athletes around him, or does he become a woman and conquer the world of female sprinting? It’s a tough one but these are the pressures we all have to face in the modern world. Biden 2420.

Seeing somebody do well who resembles us can be very inspirational.... Back in high school I competed as a sprinter but was only motivated to do so after seeing Valery Borzov win both the 100 & 200 at the 1972 Olympics. Until that time I thought it was impossible for a white kid like me to even compete in the sprints.

@DRAGONFLY101 He does have big delts, but that alone isn't enough to say if he's taking anything IMO. He may just do a lot of lateral raises, and if shoulders are a genetic strong point for him, it wouldn't be impossible to look like that. He doesn't have huge traps either. Who knows 🤷‍♂

@DRAGONFLY101 in all fairness, I wanna comment more here in support of you with this, and more against you on this, LOL! I will just state this…ummm…hmmm…let me clear my throat…umm…LOL, I CANNOT speak specifically about him, first of all! Secondly, one cannot determine PED usage specifically based upon the look of certain muscles, per se, as it the PED’s don’t work the ways folks think they do! The current PED’s for white and upper 90’s percentage of the professionals are ALL using don’t look obvious…they merely AID the athlete in achieving faster performance and recovery results. The athlete still needs to put in all the work…those 80’s and prior drugs will send them straight to the casket or live a miserable life after Olympics, but will GIVE them great results they didn’t earn. These drugs today just aid them in achieving the desires results faster than it should take, or at least allow them to do it within their life instead of in their head, ROFL. I don’t know if he’s on PED’s, but he’s standing out to me in ways that don’t really make sense, so, you may be correct. His starts are powerful and his front mechanics look good, but he’s not getting tons of SPRING action with his foot/ankles/calves, etc. via air, but he’s getting tons of FORWARD motion with low strides. This is kinda similar to what FloJo did…she didn’t have a big knee/front mechanic action, but she had a very forward action…only thing is she actually reached forward with her arms and lower legs, and he is just doing this without apparently reaching forward much. You could be right, but I’m not gonna be disrespectful unless I have more information.

@DRAGONFLY101 ok, so let me explain this to folks so they understand. Not so much college guys in particular, but most top sprinters are on PED’s, which is from where we are seeing the over-top fast times! However, they’re not the kinda 70/80’s East German PED’s that make you the Hulk from nothing! The PED’s today basically just help folks get stronger faster, recover from workouts faster, stay stronger longer, etc. The athlete is still doing all the hard work…just faster results. So, I cannot say the looks of his muscles prove he is on the juice…they’re not using that kinda juice today.

I feel like Yomif Kejelcha doesn’t get nearly the recognition he deserves. He’s just sort of quietly moving toward/into legend class times everywhere from the mile through the half marathon - more or less all at once. (mile 3:47, (best ever indoor), 3000m 7:23.64 (#4 all-time), 5000m (#6 all-time), 10000m 26:49 (WC silver), half marathon 57:41 (#3 all-time)) Has there been anyone who did that before in the world of distance running? I think you’d have to go back to Paavo Nurni or Emil Zatopek type time periods to find someone. Maybe the lack of a world record or a major championship title holds him back from that tier of attention? Has TRP ever done a feature on Kejelcha? I can’t remember.

Everyone seems to be running in a natural 1-2 step style, and he is running a 1-2-3- 4 step high knee to hip and Out of the block's picks up and lean's into it. All.the fastest world record holders also have this quicker high knee sprint.

The great Ukrainian Valery Borzov ran a 10.07 in 1972 with absolutely prefect running form. Kalen seems to have more raw talent and if he can refine his top end sprinting form he should easily get well below 10 seconds.

The secret is his correct lower body biomechanics. Every sprinter with that style of lower body biomechanics drops below 10 seconds. Assafa Powel was a master at executing this correct lower body biomechanics.
