A dark period awaits the United States and I worry compassion and kindness will fade. Thank you, Thay, for helping me to reconnect to the present moment, to soothe my sadness, and to never waver.

All things must pass away, though these are uncertain times we're living through, it doesn't come to stay. Take courage in holding to your conviction and take heart too that in the darkness, light will shine through. It is more powerful than darkness - p'haps you can see those who are like yourself; who keep the flame alive, and take warmth from knowing you are not alone. Wishing you well lucky .❤.

The existential philosophy, the importance of the here and now, the "is-ness", being a human "being" not a human doing! Peace through mindfulness. Easy to relate to his kind explanations. You might like to handle your body, your breath, your mind in such a way that you can restore freedom because one in-breath made mindfully can pull you out from the prison of the past and the future... We should keep our mind in the present moment. The present moment is changing so fast that a casual observer does not seem to notice its existence at all. Our mind goes through a series of events like a roll of pictures passing through a projector. Some of these pictures are coming from our past experiences and others are our ideas of things that we plan to do in the future. As the mind can never be focused without a mental object, we give our mind an object that is readily available every present moment, i.e. our breath.
@jbek633 жыл бұрын
That is a beautiful way to explain how to learn to stay in the present moment as our minds rush off to worry about events that never happen , we spend so much mental energy theorising about the future and regretting the past the present barely gets a look in , as with all things good , practice makes perfect and the joy of meditation is the practice ,
