Tough GLOCK Finishes - GLOCK 19 Cerakote FDE vs NiBX

A short comparison between a GLOCK 19 with Lipsey's FDE Cerakote and NiBx finishes. As of late June these guns not have 3,000 - 4,000 rounds of 9mm through them. Proper maintenance and upkeep will keep them working well. We are extremely happy with both finishes and these guns have been used and carried daily.

I own a Glock 20 gen 04 model with a factory grey frame & a cerakote flat grey slide. I added a grey vickers magazine release(tango down), a Glock store take down lever(highly suggest for any new Glock pistol), double D 3.5lb connector(robar np3 coated). I also use Glock safety orange base pads for range training or to id ammunition styles; home defense, spare mag, fmj, etc.

Is the fde glock the same ones sold through lipseys. Any reason to be concerned about reliability because of the cerakote.

Aaron Emerson no, I have used all manor of cleaning products on my cerakote and have seen zero problems with it at allZ even to the point of scrubbing solvents hard to remove black Marks from my holster kydex and have had zero problems with it.

one thing you don't need to be concerned about with Cerakote is chemicals messing it up. It's probably the most chemically robust coating in existence. Mechanically - maybe not so much
