These spell cards are some next level shit. Really weird and conceptual, like avant-garde danmaku. And it's awesome how they're different (but equally clever) for each player character. Marine Benefit is pretty much my favorite Touhou fangame - it doesn't try too much to be like something ZUN would do, instead breaking many of the unwritten rules. And that's something I'd expect fangames to do.

One of the best Touhou fangames i've ever seen (though i havent seen many). Modest gfx, amazing patterns (even without any lasers), cute characters. It needs some resource balance, otherwise it's just awesome.

Probably the most creative nonspells ever. The spellcards on the other hand, are rather strange if not plainly stupid, though creative. Still doesn't make the game itself any less awesome. You asked for pain the moment you picked Sanae :V

If anyone was wondering, the idea behind those red, blue and green circles flying about her is probably a reference to Kanako. When fighting Kanako in Mountain of Faith, you see three similar circles around her (But at last they didn't fly all over when you were trying to shoot!)

Completely! Usually, shmups means dodging bullets and such. That spellcard was just hugging a corner and praying really hard. During the last 10 seconds, you can't see a single THING.

Yes, Sanae B is Suwako, and Sanae C (for some reason) is Utsuho

Kibchi Redanlae meaning he might have gotten an inspiration from this perhaps in the time span if he was heavily inspired by touhou and fangames, but just maybe :P

@Drksrpnt Sanae as a whole has some really ridiculous shottypes. If you think this is bad, one of them has her literally shooting suns at a high speed. Can't see shit captain.

@Jaimers91 I'm quite surprised that you actually talked about the sun shottype and not the ring one. Seriously, that one is just the most awful of all shottypes ever. I mean, with the suns you can -at least- shoot while you're unfocused. The rings, on the other hand, are supposed to be what? A melee shottype?

Reimu's Stage is very exploitable graze-wise, but also has the hardest spellcard in the history of Touhou. Fucking shaking white bullets...

The Fad-Following Spellcard Collector Looks like some of them are sort of graphed on each other’s axes, if that makes sense. Like the red one’s graph using the blue one as the x axis is the purple one

Am having a few problems understanding what the circles around sanae do... Also, just making sure, in the end Marisa and Reimu are very much constantly bombing the bullets into smaller bullets?

A veryyyy late reply but that stands for ()70]-[!|v|£ because of her name is unpronounceable and showns at omniverse mode... if you do manage to pronounce those symbols then you can finally pronounce her real unpronounceable name...
