By far the best coverage of the many facets of the event - food, drinks, sleeping spots, trail conditions, weather, and a bear. We thoroughly enjoyed this. You could have been in last place and it would still be awesome. Inspiring. Good onya Joe!

So refreshing to get an insight in to the down moments rather than watching something that resembles a Nike add where everything is perfect. Love the way you ride down Fleecer and don't even comment as though it's par for the coarse.

Hi Joe, fare play for filming mate, hard enough just taking part man. Nice one. I'm no Garmin lover so feel for you, went Wahoo, brilliant. Love the tooth brushing haha. My shoe tip, wear Shimano SPD sandals man. It's all I use through the summer in all conditions and I love rocky descents, woods. bikepacking, That mud, Every year I se it and wonder why riders don't use a fatbike with 29er wheels. I have my own bike brand and mud clearance is a big part of my frame designing. Looking forward to part 2

Great race!! Your video (also great by the way) is bringing out a whole bunch of elemental TDR truisms. One of which sort of goes like: You plan, study and train for months. During the race some small thing(s) go a bit sideways, and you lose some hr.(s) here and there. For many racers, thinking about those lost hrs leads to the ‘what ifs’, which leads to the question of if there is ever a ‘next time’-- and execution is somehow closer to perfection--how much time could I shave off….looking forward to your second vid!!

Thanks for sharing, love the honesty and truly showing the highs and lows. I followed everyday during the event and this helps put some context to it. BTW when the top 3 were held up in the storm, the 3 of them sought refuge in a porter cabin. Nice and snug.... wonder who got the throne? Will take some inspiration from you as I embark on Deadhorse to Ushuaia in 1 week, albeit considerably slower and weighed down😂
