Hey Jose. Just saw a video of an African-American woman also living in Merida. She was stating that people that have KZbin channels that offer relocation services and consultations and all these things are scam artists and she mentioned several people in merida. she heavily implied things. She didn't mention you but I'd love to see a video where you respond to this in general. She basically said that these people inevitably pop up whenever an expat moves to a new city and that new city or area starts to get a lot of notoriety from potential expats and that they prey on your fear of not knowing how to do things. I personally think you're awesome man and I think you're doing a good thing but I'd love to see your respond to that
@JoseArteagaTravels11 ай бұрын
@@Kristoferwitha_k I have no idea who that is, but she isn't wrong. I mention that in my videos as well. That's why I offer everything for FREE and dont offer relocation services. Only consultations which are mainly for people who do not want to watch ALL of my videos or just have a few questions they can not find an answer to. The reason I don't talk about other channels is simply because I think my time and energy is best used elsewhere like making more videos for you guys and continuing to help people. I don't need to defend or respond to anything. I think I do that already every day in the way i present myself and the information I provide speaks for itself. I really appreciate you letting me know about this, but at this point I got plenty of haters out there and it is just a consequence of the things that I do. All I can ever say about anything like that is that I am flattered more than anything else that anyone out there wants to throw shade at me 😅 As the old saying goes "if you dont have any haters, you aint doing it right." Thanks again for sharing! Saludos y Viva Mexico!

I really appreciate what you do and all your videos and you just keeping it real and I almost felt upset on your behalf because I believe in what you're trying to do so I just really felt the need to let you know but I like your perspective. Keep doing what you're doing. At some point I will reach out to you for help. Getting a remote job at the moment is really really really really really difficult so I'm not quite ready for you yet

I have noticed that so many of the American-in-Mexico youtubers wear tacky straw hats that one assumes gives them crediblity as a future Home Depot day laborer. As always, Jose, I enjoy all of your videos very much. I'm really concerned about what to do about electrical appliances that I already own that would cost me a fortune to replace. I don't even know if they would work on the electrical system in Mexico. If anyone has any ideas I would be certainly appreciative of the input. The other thing is any advice on how to get those appliances down there if I brought them from Texas to Merida.
@JoseArteagaTravels10 ай бұрын
My advice to you is to sell everything and buy them back here in Mexico. Another option is for you to go into the local Expat Facebook groups and ask around there. There are plenty of people who have brought a lot more than their appliances and I'm sure they can be of more hlep.

This house has done nice bones but this would be a complete gut job for my liking because 1. Entryways on the first floor are too narrow for me. 2. Both bathrooms would be a complete gut job. It’s a shame the bathroom upstairs leads to the open area roof floor instead of the bedroom. I would definitely relocate the bathroom. 3. The closets are a big turn off when they are not closed in like one of the other bedrooms. It’s best the wall to wall built in closets. Like I said, great bones but too much of a renovation for me personally.

Awesome video. Thanks for showing there are bigger houses available at more reasonable prices than we usually see when they are renovated to the max. Some of us are interested in homes with more than 2 or 3 bedrooms. ? Do you have any interest in showing any homes that are more rural or with small acreage? On the aside, watch out for those camera swings. That fast panning swing literally made my stomach lurch. 🫤✌
