Super cool, 2 years later how goes it?
@BackcountryDirtbag Жыл бұрын
It was amazing for those 2 years. Literally no problems with it. We just sold her and downsized to a 13 ft Scamp trailer. Got a few videos on the new rig too if you're interested. She's a cutie but definitely not as good in the cold as the Adventurer is.

I use my ladder to block everything on the bunk while driving. I just turn it side ways. I like what you did 😊

Smart! I wish my ladder fit that way.

Late to the show, but I have owned 2 of these. Here's what I learned - first and most important take some silicon sealant or caulking and seal around the window frames, if they leak (they will) you won't be able to see the leaks, the first sign of a problem is the floor squeaking because it's rotting. The back window is the worst. Check the sealant every few months. Second, if you want to add off grid power (an inverter) a Victron Multiplus compact will fit on its back under the bottom drawer on the drivers side, and it's a perfect location for it because everything it needs is within 4 feet. The V10 is actually pretty good on gas in these units, it rarely revs high enough to really gulp down the gas, and in the late 19RD's like yours, they're virtually bullet proof, just change the oil every 10,000 k and make sure the air filter is OK. I loved our 19RD's, they're big enough to be comfortable and small enough to be driveable. Oh yes, and it'll hold 140 km/h all day.

"Flo" I love it! The bed storage hack reminds me of a cabin bunk bed that I remember fondly. Maybe you need a turned cup on there somewhere or some embded Monkey Gold? Happy Trails on your new adventure!
@BackcountryDirtbag3 жыл бұрын
A cross country trip to harvest some monkey gold is definitely in order 💛

Very nice. It's very close to ample space the way you're doing it. I'll be looking forward to more hacks, and of course, the dog.

hi, i'm interested in buying the same unit and i was wondering about the mpg those things can achieve... Do you have any real life mpg data to share? I would appreciate it a lot. Thanks.
@BackcountryDirtbag Жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks for watching and commenting. I get anywhere between 12-18 MPG depending on how empty or loaded down it is. Fully loaded with all the tanks full I've gotten as little as 10 mpg. Completely empty (nothing at all in tanks or storage) I've gotten up to 20 mpg hwy. She's small but she's got a BIG engine.

That's the small RV life conundrum. Tools make all the difference but there's no room to store tools lol

I like this model over the Class B. However, I would not be permitted to park this in my driveway. Very nice RV. I can’t imagine how much it costs to run this beast. I live in California, the cost for a gallon of gas is $5. 😊
@BackcountryDirtbagАй бұрын
Yeah she's definitely a thirsty girl. That's California for you, high gas prices and lots of rules. Worth it for those surf spots tho!
@Chuck-qi8pwАй бұрын
@ yes, for sure. A great floor plan and better bang for your buck than classic B.

2017 Adventurer 19RD
@sharonthehuman59542 жыл бұрын
Is this some specialty brand? Can't seem to find it anywhere online and intrigued by the short length. From what I've heard Ford is now actually charging extra for the short chassis and so that's one reason you don't see many Class Cs below 24 feet.

It's Canadian from what I understand

Alp Adventurer, a Canadian brand, made for and sold by Fraserway RV. One of the few true 4 season manufacturers. They sell new and ex rentals. I'm getting one on Sunday! 😃👍
