I typically enjoy these over the luxury (expensive) condos because while luxury condos are fun to look at, they are not realistic for a lot of people. As someone that is looking to move to Thailand someday, these videos are very insightful for me.

Hey Cal. Great video. Glad to hear that you decided to make steady content. Looking forward to seeing what you bring to your channel. I'm not sure if it would be of interest to your viewers, but if you are so inclined I would be interested to see healthy restaurant options around Bangkok. Thanks in advance. Jeff...

What is a 'reasonable price' and please, don't bring in what you'd pay in your home country 'cause that has zero bearing on costs in other countries.

@@Roof_Pizza The size first it's not 60 sqm with multiple bedrooms squeezed in. 2: a good kitchen. Some of us still like to cook Especially bake. 3: And no skyscrapers in your face. For some of us that is not considered a nice view. 4: It has architectural style. The rounded window in the second bedroom is priceless.

My wife and I are thinking about retiring in Bangkok. We are concerned about the smog. My passion is cycling and golf.

Great video! These condos are too big and out of the price range I would be looking for though. I wonder if you could give some info on condos and transportation in the different areas of Bangkok. What areas to avoid would be helpful.

Great video. To be honest I looked at the way you made it more than the content. I've noticed your skills improving steadily on each new video that you produce but exponentially on this one. The choice of music was excellent and I noticed the changes of music styles to fit the various condos. From speed ramping to very smooth camera moves and transitions it was all really well executed. You're also getting really comfortable speaking to the camera which is not an easy task and it makes the video enjoyable to watch. The only thing I would watch out for when doing real estate videos, and I'm totally nit picking here, is reflective surfaces such as mirrors or kitchen panels where your shadow can inadvertently appear while making the video. As I said, I'm really nit picking here and most people wouldn't notice it. None of the condos are suitable for us but I really enjoyed watching the video and it's always great watching people getting better and better at what they do. It is clear you are enjoying the creative process. All the best.
@thebangkokguideАй бұрын
Thank you so much for the kind words. I've been trying to improve gradually with time. I notice the reflections as well. I normally edit them out, but sometimes it's really hard to get a shot without a reflection simply due to the layout of the condo... Definitely enjoy the creative process! Cheers!

Best is the last one at lumpini 24. Good gym + nice unit.

Nice size for unit 1 in an older building. Price is a bit high, a great deal compared to the US would have been closer to $1200.00 US. Keep em coming Cal!

Curious as to the occupancy rates. Many places should have desperate owners willing to negotiate, and I don't mean 10% off. Also, are the owners gonna nail you with electric upcharges?
@thebangkokguideАй бұрын
These condos all have electricity paid directly to the utility company... if there is any condo with upcharges, I will make sure to talk about it! Very important factor. I'll discuss occupancy rates and negotiations in a video soon as it's a complex topic and really depends on the specific buildings and fair market value.

Got no problem with the price, but these condos are absolutely terrible value for money. You've shown some very good examples previously, this entire episode was out of place.
@thebangkokguideАй бұрын
All good! I never view the condos in advance… so I just show exactly what you might see if you are touring! Cheers
@Hector5257Ай бұрын
Thanks. Just in my price range, but with the choices in Bangkok at that price, I would not rent any of them. For the first two those old expensive centralized air conditioning units and the lack of nice furniture, are definite exclusion factors. Hope you can show better price-value units at similar costs.
@thebangkokguideАй бұрын
All good! You can definitely find better overall value in Bangkok generally but you always need to factor in location. These condos are in Phromphong which is one of the nicest areas in the city so there is definitely a price premium there. Furniture and AC could both use an upgrade in those condos tho! Cheers
@rdefacendisАй бұрын
Not sure what owners are thinking about when choosing their decor. The last place reminds me of an ice cream shop.... just missing the sugary candy canes. Sorry but none of them are "luxury". If you get a chance maybe you could get into some of the higherbrow buildings in BKK... closer to that elusive "luxury" standard.. which really starts at 90,000 Baht and up... Q Sukhumvit and Beatniq are two such examples.... They don't need to be huge units... lots of folks looking for luxury and exclusivity in a package of less than 100 square meters.
@thebangkokguideАй бұрын
The ice cream shop comparison is apt 😅 I’ll be showing Beatniq this week… try to get a balance of new and old condos to show everything and help people compare value! Cheers

All too far from the BTS, in my opinion. The most I would walk is from the dog leg on Soi Ari or the other way the dogleg on 39, which even then is a bit far. I had a 65m 2Br2Ba right next to Tops Sukhumvit for about £1500pcm all bills incl last year for 3 months I would rather pay a tiny but more and be closer to Sukhumvit and the BTS. Grab is cheap but it can take a long time to get anywhere in a car, so you are then into mopeds and they are a topic on their own! I would occasionally take a moped but the heat and fumes are insane.
@thebangkokguideАй бұрын
I'm a fan of condos that are extremely close to the BTS or MRT as well. I discuss that at length in a previous video.. big reason is actually rainy season! Thanks for the input!
@auwz66Ай бұрын
@@thebangkokguide Indeed. I would rather be on the BTS for a few stops that walking for half an hour ! Its no fun carrying your groceries half a mile. I am not lazy by any stretch but its certainly a comfort issue like you say any time of the year. Its either hotter than the sun or like being in a steam room with the shower on full blast. :)
