Awesome! I have been around Harley's and a fan all of my adult life but I am a geek by trade. I also come from a long line of educators in my family. Appreciate your support!

Spent two and a half weeks riding in Colorado in July. Got plenty of rain along with some hail as we went over Cottonwood pass. It was a great time but packing for the wide range of temps really took up a lot of space.

LOL, for sure we can have sun then snow in the same day. Layering is key!

Great finally seeing you out and about on 2's. You need to do more riding content. Don't get me wrong, you're my go-to Guy for technology. Just good to see you out as well.

Regarding Google maps, I have found that if I plan my ride on my Mac, there are more options available. For example, I can click on a road suggested by Google and drag it to a secondary road that would not be an option on my phone. Once I get the whole route planned, I send the map link to my email. When I’m ready to ride I open up my mail on my phone and click the link on the email. The route I planned is all there as it was on the Mac. It’s not ideal, but it’s a way I have found to give me more options with Google maps.
@ITFZoneКүн бұрын
Yes you are correct. However when I made my ride and emailed the link I could open but I could not start navigation with it. Seemed like it would be obvious, it would show me the saved route but not start navigating, what is the trick? I just get preview and steps no GO! Same with Apple, I could plan a guide but then do nothing with it to GO!
@baggerrider8073Күн бұрын
@@ITFZone I see that now. It’s sending it to my email as a png file or at least that’s what my phone is labeling it. Has there been any updates/improvements to the Harley navigation? If it worked better I would get the navigation subscription.
@ITFZoneКүн бұрын
No improvements as of yet. Apparently the Google map has to be embedded for saved locations to come over. I will look at it again but I opted to leave it out of the video because I found no Go option once opened on my phone! Apple Maps has the same challenges in designing a route ahead of time.
@baggerrider8073Күн бұрын
@@ITFZone Wow. It shouldn’t be this difficult in 2024 to design routes in Google Maps. PNot very user friendly. I’d take a chance on the Harley nav, but nobody at Harley seems to be clear what happens after the supposed 3 yr subscription. I have asked and they don’t know either at the dealer or Harley. It’s all a bit bizarre.
@ITFZone17 сағат бұрын
Yes much confusion! After 3 years you stop getting map updates, traffic and weather. The system remains enabled for the life of the bike. As to what the subscription fee will be, nobody knows.

why don't you use a map?
@ITFZone3 сағат бұрын
Good option for sure and don't disagree but having a navigator on the screen is convenient at times.

Can I ask what helmet is that?

Scorpion EXC90. Basic helmet but it worked with my glasses, challenge to find a half helmet with a visor that goes over glasses. www.scorpionusa.com/product/exo-c90-solid/
