You really need to visit the upper Blue Mountains. Wentworth Falls is a gorgeous place to visit as well as some truly lovely waterfalls to see. Leura is a gorgeous old town with lots of shops and coffee shops. Katoomba is very old but a it run down with a number of vacant shops. It’s unfortunate that the historic Paragon Cafe is closed. It was a lovely very old cafe. They had to close due to the building needing major repairs. Although Katoomba still has some wonderful places to see and lovely walks. Some are easy to moderate but there are some that are a bit harder. You can ride the Scenic Railway, Scenic Skyway as well as the Scenic Walkway. Blackheath is another town worth visiting. Truly amazing place to live and visit.

Central Coast council permits overnight camping in public car park areas for seven nights. It encourages longer stays and more expenditure at our local shops. The BBQs are a fabulous idea. Free but you must clean them aftef use. You will also find that some of the clubs will permit an overnight caravan stay if you are visiting the club for meals and drinks.

Basically Bondi Beach is the most famous, only because it happens to be located right in the heart of Australia's biggest city. And the city that most tourists visit. So they all go to the easiest beach to access, in the largest city. And then when they go home, they talk about Bondi Beach. That is the only reason it is famous. its actually a pretty standard Australian beach. Much better beaches can be found North or South of Sydney. Also in Queensland and Western Australia. In fact every state has beaches that would rank much higher than Bondi.

Bondi is not even the best beach in Sydney. It got to be famous because there was a tram line that went there - it was the only beach that most people in Sydney could easily get to until the railway reached Cronulla.

Agree. I hate Bondi. Maroubra, Cronulla, Coogee, Clovelly and even the beaches at Wollongong to Shellharbour and Kiama to the south are better, then to the north the beaches at Hawk's Nest or Port Stephens towards Coffs Harbour is better than Bondi, to the north. And central coast's Avoca beach isn't bad either. Bondi sucks. (My opinion anyways)

I live on the NSW Central Coast. I can tell you tourists do come here. You missed the best bits… Terrigal, Avoca, Umina, Pearl Beach and Patonga. It is a heaven here. By the way Erina Fair (not Arena) is the largest single level shopping centre in the Southern Hemisphere. And Tuggerah Lake is one of three lakes on the Central Coast and is smaller than the other two ! Lake Munmorah is the largest. The Central Coast Mariners football (soccer) team are champions of Australia. Two years in a row now. You should see their stadium in Gosford. Beautiful.

@@johnblackhawk2951 Im a Wanderers fan but my fav stadium is Gosford, love the central coast and spent all my christmas holidays at Toowoon bay 1968 through to 1976 as a young kid, the 1960s 1970s Christmas Carnival, the 1980s Bateau Bay water slide, Luderick fishing, prawning at long Jetty with drag nets, stunt kites on the beach in the 1990s from that little kite store at the Entrance, Big Al's sandwich joint, The Entrance Cinema the list goes on.......... but sadly it being to developed and it's becoming a part of Sydney.

4:24 on the other side of the road behind you there's a coffee shop/cafe called The Pocket, best coffee in The Entrance, also if you want blue water and not a manky yellow/brown colour, visit on the incoming tide. When it comes to parking , if there’s no parking metres, look for a parking sign nearby that might have something such as no stopping in red or 2P means 2 hour parking on these days etc

Nope, the largest saltwater lake in the SH is Lake Macquarie a bit further north.

Lake Eyre in South Australia is a saltwater lake which when full (almost 10,000 sq km) makes Lake Macquarie look like a bathtub. Lake Macquarie is the largest coastal lake not fed by rivers or streams. Dora Creek, Stoney Creek and Cockle Creek which feed into Lake Macquarie are functionally insignificant as regards water volume.

As you are going up to the coast don’t miss Hat Head and South West Rocks and if you would really like to get off the beaten path and see somewhere beautiful check out Minnie Water and Wooli. Although you might get sick of all the beautiful beaches eventually! Be sure to check out Nimbin too! I’m sure you’ll already have Byron Bay on the list :) if you’re in that area the river at Brunswick Heads at high tide is the most beautiful blue. It’s stunning and you might even see some fishies or a turtle while you’re swimming. Keep the content coming!

You mention lakes in your video. Australia's largest lake is in South Australia.(Lake Eyre). When full (which isn't often ) it is 25 % larger than Ireland. Just thought I'd mention it to help with perspective. Most people from OS do not appreciate Australia's size.

A friend of my Great Grandmother owned a house in The Entrance and we often stayed with them. It's so funny seeing tourists walking around what used to be my local shops. I used to work at both the bakers delights there next to coles and woolworths at erina about 5 years ago. I moved to Gosford now, though, and work in Wyoming, which is about 15-20 minute drive from erina. Also, parking on public roads is free on the coast and in most parts of Australia outside of the major cities. There will be a white sign with the letter P and a number next to it in green writing and maybe some times of day. This will tell you how long and when you can park there. If you have to pay there will be a parking meter near by usually within eye shot. As soon as I saw you're cousin I knew he was a local. He just has the vibe

States and local councils vary in their restrictions on 'free camping' so respect any signage and ask a local if there are any choice spots. I live in Tasmania where local councils typically have areas where one or two nights free overnight camping is OK. My local council has a good signed free camping area which is right next to an obvious looking camping area which however turns into a major all- day market every Saturday. National Parks frequently offer free camping areas but check if permits are required as these manage the number of campers on any day. In Tasmania a Parks Pass is required to enter National Parks. An annual pass is $99 per vehicle with up to 8 people which is only $6 more than a two month pass. Where camping fees apply they are typically around $13 per night or $50 for a week.

I’d recommend heading down past Wollongong and check out some south coast seaside towns like Kiama and Gerringong. Lovely little seaside village vibes and while you’re around Kiama, you could check out Jamberoo Action Park, lots of great water rides, toboggan rides etc. it’s seasonal, but it will have more days open from 28th September.

Last Sunday me and my hubby did the Bouddi Coastal trail . It was 14km with heaps of steps but the scenery was so beautiful . It took us about 4.5 hours . It is in Bouddi national park , Central Coast . Great video thank you !

If you walk along waterfront towards beach end you will find ocean pool just one of Many lovely spots to swim and get a lovely coffee 😂. You seem to love coffee ❤. if you go little south to Toowoon beach. At lovely little kiosk cafe at surf club, best coffee and nice spot for swim beach patrolled too. Enjoy lots of choices 😊enjoy

Just in NSW alone there is the Blue Mountains, The trips down into the valleys below on either train or cablecar then Taronga Zoo at night and of course it's compatriot Western Plains Zoo where you can experience more like an African Safari style Zoo. Canberra and the Australian War Memorial Vineyards from The Hunter Valley behind Newcastle all the way throught the Southern Highlands down to around Canberra and of course Vinyards in Victoria Tasmania and South Australia. The Highlands of Victoria where I say get a permit and go Gold Panning in the beautiful clear refreshing streams around Bright and Myrtleford in Summer, There is also so much to see and do in Queensland from the Atherton Tableands the Caves just North of Rockhampton the Lava Tubes and Queenslands many beautiful dams and their Lakes as an example look uo the Lake that is also Mt Isa's Water supply simply stunning. Of course NSW South Coast simply brilliant and Jervis Bay the clearect water you will ever see visability I remember from Diving there of probably 250 plus feet.

Oh wow, it looks so beautiful, the annual music festival Rolling Sets is held at The Entrance, Central Coast, at Memorial Park in December. I'll be going there this year. It's like a festival that has a lot of surf-rock bands. Big surf-rock scene in NSW. Bands this year that will be playing include Lime Cordiale [from Northern Beaches, NSW]. The Grogans [from Melbourne/Torquay] and The Wombats [from the UK]. Really looking forward to it!

Ha, what you have listed as Amell beach is known to us locals as 'Spoon Bay'. I swim here most days. It's paradise. There are plenty of tourists on the Central Coast, but mostly people from Sydney coming up for weekends and summer. The population here is quite large now and fast growing. About 350K people. It's also Erina Fair shopping Centre you are at.

You drove about 3 kilometres from my home, as I live in a suburb next door to The Entrance. I may be biased but I think its one of the loveliest areas of NSW. And it does get very busy here in the holiday and school holiday periods, lots of tourists and people from Sydney. Not sure if you mentioned it, but one is required to get a license to fish.

Bondi Beach is fabulously beautiful. It's just down the road from CBD, hence why it's well known around the world. Bondi gets huge publicity, attracting thousands. Australia is just so big, literally every Beach is gorgeous...only they're not packed out like Bondi always. Our golden sand is a pure delight for foreigners. Experience Bondi, but any other Beach is just as lovely. Take care, enjoy your stay🫡✌️

Come to Far South Coast (Merimbula or Eden) for the whale watching season in September/October. There are so many great natural attractions, e.g Horse Head Rocks & Blue Pool at Bermagui, the Pinnnacles at Pambula, the best oysters in oysters in Australia from the oyster farms at Broadwater (and this is from someone who doesn’t like oysters normally) , kayak tours down Pambula River. Music at Longstocking Brewery, Gin tasting at Nine Circles Distillery, It’s also know as the Sapphire Coast, if you love relaxed, natural beauty, it’s sensational. It’s halfway between Sydney and Melbourne, via the coast.

If you ever get the chance, head to Port Stephens. There are some of the most amazing beaches.. Shoal Bay , Anna Bay , and Fingal Bay are all within 5 mins drive with loads of beaches. Birubi beach stretches from Anna Bay to Stockton Beach, one of the longest beaches in Australia.. Enjoy your trip.. Great videos.. 🤙🙏

I can much recommend the central coast, it isn't to overrun by tourists and probably a lot closer to regular Australian life than the big cities. The freedom camping is not a thing in some places like Queensland. Make sure to check the places you're going to. If you like gorgeous pretty beaches try out the beaches just north of Ballina, just so pretty any not too many people there.

just a warning....NSW now has speed, selt belt and mobile phone detection cameras in place so try a cradle to put your phone instead of holding. If your passenger is not wearing a seat belt properly, you still get fined. Fines in NSW are the most expensive in the country

Squeaky Beach in Victoria was awarded best beach in Australia in 2024. According to an ABC article in March 2024 Squeaky Beach, near Tidal River at Wilsons Promontory was the first ever Victorian beach to claim the title of Australia’s best beach of the year.
