TOW Dwarfs vs Orcs and Goblins 8.9.2024

All I'm going to say about this one is that rarely has a well bearded stout fellow seen such a horrific pair of ugg boots.
Tactical enhancement was all well and good but I could have done with a few more.

Really looking forward to the new Midgard rules by the Too Fat Lardies. Should be a significant improvement on these veteran WH rules, which I’ve always had problems with.

Technically the unit that took the charge from the board should have been off the table, as casualties have to come off of one side or the other. Either way that puts you over the table edge, or o. Contact with a unit that would force you to pop over, and off of the table. That said, it’s a friendly game, and I’m sure your mate was happy to feed his pigs.

I am all for normal Orcs, plain old Orc Boyz. I have two largwe (30) mobs and try to field both (usually at 24 though). One often becoems Big ´uns... In 5th Ed you needed as many normal as you had Big ´uns - which I like. But it needs to be similar for everyone.. Look at High Elves, how many spear elves do yuo see? OCompared to the Elite infantry..? So.

Yeah I see what you mean. Many people go elite wherever they have a chance. I prefer to take core wherever I can and augment with an elite where I need an extra type of capacity. I find that as editions change, all troops remain viable for their points cost but the way we have to use them to make them effective is not always the way that I want to play them.
