I am shocked Amni can now choose their role. Skadj becoming the new Jailor and clutching the win was fricking wild. I was so sure that Skadj was a baddy but then Bryce said they talked about doing something and that just got me so confused.

@@Crux_JCr The amnesiac remembers a random role that died during the night (or the previous day) at the start of the next day. However, if one of the roles that died was a TPow, it prioritizes remembering that, unless there are multiple amnesiacs, then only one remembers. Since heck died on d4 after amnes would have remembered, and ze had died on n4, the amne check at the beginning of d5 would have both tavern keeper and jailor (and since jailor is TPow, that is what is remembered)

@@geo4876 that's interesting. I never knew that but I never saw crew die on the same day but not the same time. I always just assumed it is the first crew role but didn't know there was a priority list.

Shrouding someone makes that person attack whoever they visit (or attacks them if they don't visit). Shrouding a BG or a Trapper essentially makes them an attacker, which triggers their condition to save the person they're visiting. Hence: Bodyguard kills themselves (they protected their target against themself as an attacker) and Trapper's trap triggers killing the Trapper.

(Let's see how I can word this without KZbin flagging me lmao) So luckily he wasn't part of the group Kara mentioned (He actually made cartoons explicitly against it in the 40's!), but Cheesy's right, there are certainly a lot of... Questionable depictions of ethnic groups. (Look up the controversy at the Dr Seuss Museum for more)

And as far as I've always heard he wrote Horton Hears a Who partially as an apology for the earlier anti-japanese stuff at least. And he drew some Anti-Nazi stuff before the USA entered WW2. so not entirely on the wrong side of history.

That was the general artistic style at the time, as people were generally more into "racial superiority" and "this is how they've always been drawn". Roald Dahl has a few of those questionable depictions as well (hello, book-style Oompa Loompas), as does Looney Tunes, even the original film of West Side Story put Rita Moreno in brownface when she's already Puerto Rican.

Seuss was actually quite liberal for his day. He was a strong anti-isolationist, encouraging the US to intervene in WW2 and also speaking out against racism in the US army. He published political cartoons in "PM", a left-wing New York daily, and decried both racism and anti-semitism in American institutions. Unfortunately, Seuss had a notable misstep here, as he published many anti-Japanese comic strips (including some suggesting that Japanese-Americans should be suspected of having dual-loyalties) that are now regarded as racist and that Seuss himself would later come to deeply regret later in life. He did, however, try to make amends and took several trips to Japan after the war, eventually coming to admire the Japanese people and making several friends in Japan that he would correspond with regularly. Beyond that, though, I think most of the things said about him in this video aren't true. He did have an affair, but never divorced his wife (she had a "self-inflicted passing", seemingly prompted by a series of illnesses for more than a decade, as well as her crumbling marriage to Seuss, whom she loved dearly). Seuss was bereaved at her death, but did eventually marry his mistress, whom he remained with for 23 years until his death in 1991. Honestly, considering the era he was in, Seuss was a pretty solid guy. Not without his warts, granted, but no one in this world gets to be perfect, and he did generally own up to his mistakes and try to better himself in the aftermath.

I'm glad to see you all still enjoying the new mods and roles for ToS2! I think Ze did an excellent job in his Oracle round, saving not only Vik but himself as well with those selections! It's a shame the Oracle can't protect the outed Mayor, since that definitely would have helped in the first game, but Ze still played his part well, especially when he was jailed by Larry, lol. The WW game was unlucky, but luckily Vik did not get away with his lies! It was also interesting to learn that the Prosecutor can now stay alive despite hanging a town member. The Coroner round was also very fun since I always enjoy when Ze can help the town thrive, and that was shown even further in the Jailor round! The play Ze and Heck pulled off was so funny and I'm glad it helped expose the Coven, even if Ze's further lie about Cheesy claiming Coven did muddle things a bit, lol. Thankfully Skadj picked up the reins from his fellow Viking and led the town to victory! Thanks for another great video, Ze, and I can't wait for the next one!

I actually kind of wonder if Cursed Soul's strength is in waiting until they know (or at least suspect) a killing role, then grab it as the town is about to close in. If you can establish a cover, then grab shroud/werewolf/whatever, town executes the original and finds a cursed soul, suddenly they have no idea who it could be and you can get killing. Only problem really is the cursed soul doesn't have a good alibi - they really need an option to sniff out roles, as doing that could let them claim lookout/spy/etc.

lol this is crazy but I was reminiscing about some of my favorite YT memories, watching ze, chilled and the boys play the original town of Salem back in the day when I decided to come see what you were up to. It’s crazy to see that y’all are playing the sequel!!! Y’all didn’t just develop my sense of humor but helped develop internet humor as a whole Thanks man

I think he meant it as saying that Kara said: "How did you know there is an illusionist, are you a Coroner?" which in turn makes it seem a little bit like she's looking for extra information or that she was the illusionist and was surprised about Ze knowing that 'randomly'.

There is a way to buff the cursed soul(C.S) ability. If they are given to be able to “recall” which can force the role that the OG CS stole initially and have it swap with the current player with the “cursed soul” role. This will allow the cursed soul to re-roll for a killing role. Of course being able to do it every turn will be too OP, so giving it a 1-day cooldown will allow the soul swap to transfer to at least one other person. So a scenario would look like this: Night 1 - OG cursed soul would swap their role with Player one who is a tracker Night 2 - OG cursed soul can’t recall their role yet, so they are stuck with tracker for one turn. - Player one trades “cursed soul” with Player two with their “Banshee”. Night 3 - OG cursed soul can finally “recall” their cursed soul - Player one is still Banshee. - Player 2 targets Player 3 for swap, but gets OG cursed soul’s “Tracker” role instead thinking they got it from player 3 and the OG cursed soul gets their “cursed soul” role back so they can attempt to gain a role with the ability to kill other players.

Suggestion for cursed soul, it should always have a kill button, and have the ability to use the stolen role. It can only use one a night, unless it steals something with a day ability. That way it can hide by occasionally using the stolen role, and kill when they don’t have heat on them. Of course this would also apply if the mafia killing has their role stolen, but not any other role. (I’m not a programmer, so I don’t know if it would work well.)

Ok ok, in defense of Chilled's dog treat eating -- I make my own treats for my dogs. They're just select ingredients so it's not too much for dogs. Apple Cinnamon sounds good tbh. Homemade (I say this as in like the type of treat, we're not talking about Bacon Bits here) treats are usually just more bland versions of human stuff. :)

IDK why Ze didn't protect Mayor Skadj. Ze will die if Kara attacks him regardless of what he does, but if she attacks Skadj or X33N, it's up to the Cursed Soul which team wins.

So wait for that last game was amnesiac changed in how it selects role? Cause if not then Skadj should have been a Tavern Keeper instead of Jailor. Unless because Heck was taken out during the day and then Ze died that night and Amne prioritizes TP it grabbed Jailor next morning.

It's still random regardless if they died during the day or night, but tos2 amne prioritizes remembering tpow as a countermeasure to make sure town doesn't lose a powerful role early in the game.

I don't know how Ze can drink C4. I don't know how anyone can drink that stuff. I tried it recently, awful, my skin felt like there were a bunch of ants crawling underneath it. The taste was fine, but that experience isn't for me.

Well if they ever played in an all any lobby against randoms it is ill advised. In TOS 1 medium could talk to dead. Chatty killers could reveal live ones so lying in death is actually a strategy formed from the game, though not sure if still active. Still, outside of Kara, Chilled and Ze I think almost everyone needs to play in some random all any lobbies to get a feel of how roles work. The inactive jailor stuff is off-putting.

How did that amnesiac get Jailor when Tavern Keeper died a round beforehand? Answer: DUH. Died during the day, Amne works the next day and picked randomly. I can think.

It's true that's it's still random regardless if they died during the day or night, but tos2 amne prioritizes remembering tpow. In this game, the pool for amne to pick from was tav and jailor because they both died during the same day and jailor is a tpow role thus amne getting jailor

Good to know - that helps the amnesiac's chances of getting a coveted role. The game not saying "An Amnesiac has remembered..." in this mod is also a town buff, in that the Coven getting rid of a Jailor or Prosecutor suddenly might have to deal with another one.
