Town of Salem ranked practice is back and I'm bringing out the good ol' silent jailor today! Silent jailor is still a very powerful tactic, often giving you a lot of insight into evils just based upon their desire to delay claiming as long as possible. In Town of Salem, confirming claim space is your main goal as town. Jailor can do this easily with a silent jailor tactic.

I wonder. If a Jailor forgets to jail, what if during the day the Jailor "baits" by claiming jailed himself, since evils tend to fake their wills with jailed targets in them. Yes, I know that this could get the Jailor killed, but if the town thinks the Jailor is jester and let's the Jailor take it and the Jailor isn't dead, it could confirm things.

This is honestly a pretty good idea. I don't see it getting the jailor killed at all either if it goes south. A good town doesn't lynch a Jailor claim, no matter how suspicious it is.

Gaming Pro 3758 he saw 14 names because he was in target lost not player list so he got confused because with dead doc there should be 14 names but his name doesn’t appear while on the target lost so there were 13

@@peachygig A) Thats stupid, B) even if that were the case the Doc came IMMEDIATELY after. Idk, people have different tactics or whatever and Skimm is obviously good at the game. I just don't understand his qualifications for some of his scum reads. Ive seen other vids where whoever he jailed will give him 3 full ass sentences THEN claim and he doesn't seem to mind it. But "hi" RIGHT before the role is slow? Just strange to me.

@@JD-qo7hm saying "Hi" before claiming is a little sus because evils will try to be 'friendly' to buy themselves time to think and sus out what kind of Jailor they're dealing with. I think Skimm was mostly just trying to put pressure on him to see how he reacted, but I wouldn't really call it slow myself. People should know by now though that the first thing you say should be your role and your will.

There's no time to think if the doc comes immediately after. For him to type the whole thing at that speed he already knows he's going to type doc before the hi begins. Slow claims DEFINITELY correlate with evil players, I'm extremely dubious that typing hi immediately before a claim does. TP claims are likely to be friendly because they want jailor to give their name so they can protect them.

Last time I was playing silent jailor I also forgot to jail n1, there was a death with a clean that night. I was no 1 on the vfr list, was writing people's claims and didn't notice I was put up on the stand. I say I'm jailor who forgot to jail. People screamed I was janitor and jailor was cleaned and I got lynched 😂

Skimm I have a TOS question for you. If I am Jailor and I jail someone say night 2/3, if I don't speak and they stay completely silent, is it okay to execute them? (This is of course if they aren't confirmed town or anything like that)

@@masonsandoval7789 As someone who does the silent Jailor strat a lot, I say execute immediately at the start of the night to get them to talk. If they can convince you of their innocence you can undo the exe button. Besides, it should be common sense that if you get jailed, the Jailor is gonna want you to have a claim ready and to not waste their time.

I just played as the ww which is hard to win yet town couleve hanged me but i claimed disguiser was the 2 trans or 2 spys (cause we had to 2 transporters and 2 spys) and we got the bg hanged than i got the mafia to be hanged than i killed the jester to get my finally first werewolf win lol it was ranked too i know u did a ww vid a bit ago but this game was amazing and i wanna see if u can copy it.

I found as a jester...you need to claim with the pace of the game. I know that sounds weird, but trust me it works. For example if there is a arso, try claiming invest. If there is a spy try claiming TP and fake saying you went to every MV according to spy will. If they are a smart spy it will most likely work. I did that tactic and the spy wasn't so smart lol, but I did it again. I had a smart spy and got hung!

I personally like silent Jailor more because you don't have to waste time typing to the prisoner and you can look back at voting patterns and what was said that last day.

Had the most chaotic jailor game ever today, died to maf N3 after only managing to exe witch because no TP was on me (turns out they died n1 got cleaned and didn't bother telling the meds) we honestly had one of the worst combination of town roles 2 sheriffs, 4 TS (including a legit retri who refused to rez jailor) RMs were jani and consort so it was an easy game for mafs, how the hell town won I still don't understand

I feel that. Like I always say, town loses when Jailor is bad. 9x10 it is very true. I hate that, so much. Jailor usually dictates how the game will go for town (essentially the leader) I realized that when as Jailor I win most of my games lol.

I had one game where I was...spy. I tried scum reading and I failed and town lynched a townie. (Mind you I claimed spy d2) So other townies told me I was sus. I was like fair I am a spy claim. A couple of days go by and more townies die and I am being a good little spy posting my will. Maf was really smart not to kill me and I realized the game: Dumb town, smart maf. Then, when it was only room for 1 TI, someone claimed sheriff. I was like cool its between me and him. I know I am spy. A townie stated if this is inno then I am not spy. Told them cool! Turns out...it was Jester!!! Jailor proceeds to jail and exe me........Town lost. My gosh I was just astonished how smart the Jailor was. Edit: (No one else claimed TI)
