First off, the fact that it’s even possible for a near base model XLT to be $73k is a crime in of itself. Second, assuming that those options are only available on the Lariat and higher, I’d say it’s definitely worth spending the extra $4k but it still isn’t worth anywhere near $77k. To be honest, I think you spent 99% of the video, explaining why the Lariat is actually the best trim to get.

Right. I understand that a lot of these trims are "only as expensive as you option them to be"... but you can get a fully loaded Titan XD Platinum Reserve for $75k, or $70k if you settle for the 1/2 ton Titan... I don't care who you are, a Platinum Reserve Titan is a much nicer truck than an XLT F-150. Especially for the same money!

I just purchased a Lariat with 502A and all the package options (other than black appearance package) and couldn't be happier about my truck. For me, the extra options you get on the Lariat (compared to the XLT) were worth it and I don't have a single regret about my purchase. I love the heads up display, ventilated seats, projector headlights, daytime running lamps, rain-sensing wipers and all the other creature comforts on the Lariat + 502A. Everyone has their own preferences/needs for their truck and what they can afford. IF you can afford the Lariat, I highly recommend it.

The Lariat 502a is the best spec imo. Why? It is the only way to get a luxury truck that isn't gaudy or pretentious. Though the new Lariat is nice, I do think the 21-23 is a much better looking truck.

Lariet was the top of the line trim package all of the 80s and most of the 90s. Now it is getting to be useless except it releases the most options making it the most customizable trim package.

I just bought a Lariat from them. Shout out to my awesome salesman, Mike Jamison. I highly recommend him. I’m sorry, Mitchell, I disagree with you. The Lariat is the way to go. I believe you left out a few items only available on the Lariat. Please correct me if I’m wrong. Star metallic white tri-coat paint. Push button start. Black appearance package. 22 inch wheels. Blue cruise. Power folding mirror. Extended running boards. I got all these options. Also, a Lariat should have a higher resale value. Agree with you. He omitted that leather seats are standard on the Lariat (option on XLT), and power folding mirrors are standard on the Lariat (not even an option on XLT). I just ordered a Lariat, and those two things were just a couple of items that got me looking at the a Lariat, vs the XLT.

A 400 watt outlet is essentially useless. The only thing I would be plugging into the truck bed is a table saw or chop saw, so I'd need a 15 amp/1800 watt outlet.

2023 crew/4wd/5.0 XLT in white with the 4x4 Sport decals heated off. $52K because I bought it Dec 2023 so $10K off sticker. This is all the trim I want. Big screen, day lights, fancy exterior lights, console shift, and dual ac.

Two inaccuracies. XLTs do have rain sensing wipers (at least my '21 does). 4A is not AWD as most people interpret it. It's 4 auto. When the tires slip, a clutch engages the front axle. 4a also engages the front wheel via the IWE all the time.

XLT doesn’t offer leather seats! Also, the reason why the 3.5 is only a $90.00 option is because Ford wants to be able to claim lack of sales on the 5.0 as the reason for discontinuing it at their convenience. I become a GM buyer the day they discontinue the V8.

You can get leather in the XLT with the 303 package. A lot of people love the 2.7 and it's the 5.0 engines real competition. It's the reason why GM started putting a 2.7 in the Sierra and Silverado.

Lariat is the first trim level that lets you get auto 4WD - the cheapest truck you can get with it. So it's just the one to buy if you aren't getting a Tremor or Raptor and live where there is snow.

I had a 20 18 Lariet 502A and now have a 2023 XLT high package and I miss not having a heated steering wheel, and easy entry/exit where the seat automatically moves back for entry/exit, and I miss the super bright headlights on the Lariet. Here in Canada a Lariet vs XLT is a lot more $$$.

Owned 2018 and 2022 lariats. Here in michigan insuring a lariat is 30 to 40% less than a limited or platinum. The only difference is some badging. Towing with the 3.5 is a joke. All HP and no torque. I love my new 5.0, and it sounds great. Mileage is the same.

3.5 all hp no torque? did you try towing with a 3.5? It has so much more torque than the 5.0 and it comes on a lot sooner. There is a reason the 3.5 has the highest tow ratings of all the motors available.

Excellent Video. The Lariat is my Trim of choice. I am hoping it does not come with blue cruise, as i would like to install a three inch lift with 35 inch K02's. I know that if you do any lift on the higher trims, it negates the blue cruise?

You can lift with Blue Cruse. My Lariat is Leveled with 34.5s. A friend of mines Plat is lifted 4inches with 35s. Both have no issues with BC. In fact it has improved. No more sudden jerks. Steering smoother negotiating curves. ACC work the same.

@@neillepps1965 No problem, bro. So, just a little more info and advice. Both trucks did not have Blue Cruise re-calibrated. If for some reason you do need to have Blue Cruise re-calibrated, I highly recommend you go to a dealer to have a Ford tech do it. Both trucks did have the radar sensors for Adaptive Cruise Control adjusted. Only the vertical height needs adjusted. It is a simple screw adjustment, no computer calibration. Google the install instructions for the F150 Ford Performance Bilstein leveling kit, look at page 27. Starting on that page, it explains what needs to be done. If you install the lift/level yourself, the truck will of course need an alignment. The alignment shop should be able to follow the sensor realignment instructions in that manual mentioned above. If you choose to have a shop install a lift/level, they should also be able to follow the instructions to realign the sensor as well. Verify with the shop you choose before you agree to have work performed by them

This is actually an advertisement for the Lariat trim, with a click bait title. Having said that, it is loaded with a lot of extra technology gimmicky stuff that will increase your long term maintenance costs, I can live without. But if it’s the only way to get a heated steering, power mirrors and remote start, I would pay up to get it. I use that extensively.

You always create good content...sometimes I wish you would not try with the "clickbait" angle. It worked....I had not priced a 2024 F-150...currently have a 2020 King Ranch 5.0. Yes...the Lariat is worth it...because as others have said...the highest trim the 5.0 is available. So...I guess if GM can endure...might have to get a GMC next time with a V-8. Had one EcoBoost....don't want another. It was either Eco (not very Eco) or Boost....and the way I drive...it was usually Boost...which means my 5.0 gets better mileage than the EcoBoost Did.

I love Ford but they don’t make a lot of sense with the build of these vehicles. My wife’s no 2019 Edge Titanium had those dynamic headlights. Her 2021 Explorer King Ranch doesn’t. My 2017 Fusion Platinum had all the colors for ambient lighting. My 2018 F150 Platinum doesn’t have any options.

I really don't like the new look on the front of the 2024 Lariat. I like the look of my 2021 Lariat much better. Which also happens to have the active moving headlamps. In fact, I don't see any features on that 2024 that I don't have on my 2021.
