A mom revealed that at school someone STOLE her disabled daughter’s Stanley Cup and she couldn’t get it back. Her mom got her the cup in the hopes that it’d help her fit in 😭 it’s like these ridiculous trends erase common sense and everything except a mad frenzy and reaching for self validation and landing on an overpriced lead filled water bottle. And the trend is already ending. Hope it was worth it.
@VintageVirgo20028 ай бұрын
Both trends and social media are stupid and utterly ridiculous. I don't know why anybody follows them or thinks they have to; to fit or blend in like just be your own person with your own likes and dislikes and be capable of your own opinions and thoughts and if you aren't trendy then who cares? It's all just pointless stupid crap that people obsess over to be liked or to blend in with the crowd but we as humans were meant to stand out from each other and celebrate our differences not all be acting like the same damn person with our basic overpriced Stanley cups in hand all walking in a line together like some sorta cult trying to twinsie with each other. And also its stupid how people are literally fighting to the death over something as simple as a cup made of possible toxic metals like as if they are in some sorta Roman fighting grounds with gladiator shoes on or something. Like the frick? Are people nowadays nuts or have people always gone this crazy over such simple things like "CUPS" and whatnot? Why the frick would some lil child have to steal a cup from another child? Like could they not afford a cup themselves that they had to steal someone elses? If they didn't have enough for a Stanley, why didn't they just buy a basic cheap cup or bottle from like Walmart or the Dollar Store or something? Why are people becoming literal animals or thieves or just bad mannered people in general over something so trivial and basic like a piece of tupperware? 😐😐😑😑🤦🏽

Nobody deserves to be in a relationship with someone who will “test you to see if you are faking incompetence.” Sure. A very small percentage of people can realize if they act dumb they get away with not doing something. But boundaries are the answer. Not recording them and testing them. If you pour ketchup onto the counter to then ask me to clean it and start recording, I’m gonna go ahead and let you know that my boundaries are that I can clearly see you made the mess and if you need help, I will help you, but I am not your maid.

9:03 that is absolutely insane advice and an insane perspective!! I was a with a guy who was double almost triple(not fat) my body weight and 11 inches taller. The size thing wasn't what made me aware he could seriously hurt me if he wanted to. It was his outbursts of anger that made me realize if he snapped I was screwed. Bc not only was he a raging maniac but even if he wasn't angry he could still hurt me bad. It didn't make me feel safe it made me feel like I had to walk on eggshells. Meanwhile my dad who is my size and only 2 inches taller is train in martial arts and I've seen him take down guys bigger than my ex but you know what despite knowing that I've NEVER questioned or thought even subconsciously about how he could really hurt me. And I know he could but I can't even imagine it! But you know why it's not a thought in my mind?! Bc he's given me no reason to ever fear him!! if subconsciously she's realized she's could be hurt by you she's never gonna feel safe with you. Ever. Your size shouldn't make her feel safe or scared or a mix of both. It's your actions. She should always feel safe with you which will cause her to absolutely ignore and forget the point you can defend yourself with one hand tied behind your back. And thus probably hurt her. But you never would and wouldn't even give her a reason to think so- that's why it's not even a thought in her head. Even if you are hired assassin in real life she shouldn't never view you that way if you doing things right. Otherwise she fears you, she doesn't love you. She's not your partner then but your hostage. This is literally abuse this guy is describing. Just like when a guy punches a wall in a fight with you it's red flags for abuse and definitely intimidation bc what he's communicating is if he were just a little angrier that would be your head instead. If any one, male or female, is ever confronted with the fact that "hey this person I love could really hurt me if they wanted to" thats your sign to leave. Bc something they did gave you that impression that you could be in danger even if it's just subconsciously. And you should listen bc someone you love and who loves you truly will never do anything to make you feel or think they could hurt you.

Exactly. I'm 5 feet tall, 110 lbs. My husband is 6'2, 275 lbs. I'm well aware that he could crush me without even breaking a sweat but unless someone brings it up, it's not something I ever think about, nor do I feel the need to. He's also ex military, retired after 20 years, and was a chief. The only times I've ever really thought a out our size difference is when we've been going on rides at theme parks (because his long legs make some rides really uncomfortable so I try to notice beforehand and we'll do something else) or just the past 2 days because he had knee surgery and I'm helping him get around (and I know that if he falls, it's best I try not to catch him because we'll just both end up hurt. I'll just call the EMT). At no time have I ever once in our 10 years together even momentarily pondered him getting angry and hurting me, or even doing so accidentally while playing around, because that's not his nature. I've dated and was even once married to guys who had temper and anger problems and I was constantly aware of our size differences and their experience and abilities that might mean harm to me. Not this time around. Oh, and he's not axmoron either so not only do I never have to even consider him hurting me but he knows how to clean up something that has been spilled without making a bigger mess. Seriously, how l9w is some women's bar for men? Maybe it's just me but after 30 years, I decided I deserved better.

Last I checked I wasn't planning on accidentally taking a screwdriver to the bottom of my cup, damaging it so it no longer stands upright, and then licking the teeny bit of lead on the bottom.......survival of the fittest people.....survival of the fittest.....we've got brains, lets try and NOT be the kind of people that made companies put the "DON'T USE YOUR HAIR DRYER WHILE IN THE SHOWER" or "WARNING! YOUR HOT DRINK IS HOT!" on their products.

On the other hand, I've also seen a few videos and heard a few accounts of people who didn't even realise the bottom disc of their cup had popped off, because unlike other bottles that use lead its only a small disc that covers it, rather than yeti cups which would require the entire bottom falling off. Also you don't need to be ingesting lead for it to be harmful. just the physical exposure is damaging. Also the 'hot drinks may be hot' warning became a thing after the McDonalds coffee cup incident which was grossly handled. The McDonalds pr team did everything to label the victim as an idiot who didn't understand her coffee would be hot so it wasn't seen as their fault. Yet the actual story is that the coffee was between 180-190f (82-87c) which was 30-40f hotter than it should have been, this branch had been warned about it multiple times and they received numerous complaints. the victim had her labia fused due to the heat, originally she just wanted McDonalds to cover her medical expenses (which they should have).

To be fair, AFAIK, the “hot beverage” warning was because the woman was given EXTREMELY hot coffee and was terribly burned when she accidentally spilled it.

@@hopefullyhelping6664I explained it all in my comment just above yours, but yes, the coffee was way to hot and that McDonald’s had received multiple warnings and complaints about it

@@hopefullyhelping6664THIRD DEGREE BURNS. You would expect coffee to be hot. You would *not* expect it to MELT FLESH.

@@hopefullyhelping6664 yeah, it's wild how after all this time the smear campaign is still in people's minds, as often as it's been debunked. honestly it makes me doubt a lot of "stupid" sounding lawsuit headlines bc a lot of the time it is just a company trying to make the person suing sound entitled when something bad actually did happen
