The way he just skipped a couple of lines at the end because he knew he could hold that scream for over four bars....man. Just stunning.
@samuelwilliams92242 жыл бұрын
kzbin.info/www/bejne/oKO0l32Zmtinl7M - it feels like they lessen the attack on the transient of an additional scream to give the illusion of four bars when instead it's two different vocal takes, but i might be wrong. it's really cleanly mixed anyway and cunio sounds great.

You might think this, but if you look at 2:40, you'll see what he really thinks xD As a pro drummer I can relate, your job here is not to put on a show - which is what the original drummer is doing, it's all acting btw - but rather to play in a studio. You have to be the most composed and professional musician out there because you're leading the band whether you like it or not. In reality, playing something like this you are on the edge the whole time and very concentrated, hence the boring face until he needs to call other musicians for the bridge part, and then he looks like someone is about to kill him - that sums it up pretty well ;)

Actually, the bari player is making that face because the note that he's playing are fairly low for the bari sax range. You need warmer air to play those kinds of notes, which typically causes your face to contort like that, lowering your eyebrows. Consequently, when playing high notes you need cooler air so eyebrows typically raise up. I know from experience that trying to keep a completely neutral face while playing extreme tones is difficult. I hope that helped explain the "angry sax dude" a bit more, haha.
