It's so nice to see you having fun. I really feel for you being cold in that room and I have a suggestion that might help (Though I wouldn't be surprised if you've already gotten it). I've been in several living situations without heat in the -40c Canadian winters, and it helped a lot to set up a tent in my room to be my primary living space. I'd keep my heater outside of the tent at a safe distance, but this allowed for trapped body heat and eliminated drafts. I know it's not pretty for filming, but it could at least be cozy for sleeping/relaxing.

Even if you could make a little curtained off area with some blankets to sleep it can trap the heat a bit better too if your cold 🖤🖤🖤

And those little usb electric hand warmers. I wouldn't mind a cozy video in there with the sound of the warmers either. Also layering footie pajamas over regular warm pj's is also nice. If she already needs to get juce curtains for the new place she can buy them now and use them to curtain off sections a bit more with tension rods. And then thick blackout curtains are pretty good for insulating, possibly over the tent.

If you have a big enough closet you can also toss your mattress or a bunch of blankets in there and shut the door or leave it slightly cracked. My husband and I spent many New England winters moving into new apartments just for the power to not be on until almost a month later due to poor weather

I spent some time homeless, and when I was able to get those heat reflecting blankets: great for on the ground and between blankets as well. Holds off drafts from windows as well. Used a tent as well when I was squatting and when I had to turn the breaker off for my heaters at one point as well (would only run it a few days a week). Saved my life when it was super cold out and especially when I had no electricity.

Kerry (apologies if I misspelled her name) seems like such a sweetheart, and has a great laugh! I totally understand why you don't want to come out from under the blankets when it's so awfully cold in the studio. Maybe build one of those kid-style blanket forts and bring in a space heater, and just chat about your hopes and plans, painting ideas, whatever. I adore these visits with you! 🥰

I'm not sure if they have them over there but I found that the beat heaters are OIL heaters! They come on rollers and I have one that when my power was out, kept my home warm in winter. They make NO noise, no fans, no exposed heating elements, you don't have to worry about them lighting things on fire & they're not too pricey! I have one that I got for under $200, and as I said it kept my 700sqft home livable in winter, they're amazing. It stays in my back porch all winter now, since it's connected to my home but isn't vented for my furnace to heat or cool and I just keep it at 18°C easily, it can go all the way up to 31°C but that literally would roast you lol.

If ur room is cold a super cheap option for heating would be a tealight candle on a plate, with a plant pot ontop of it! A few of those in a small room will get toasty x

It's so nice to see you out with friends, and having a good time. That's very important to do. Your new tats are great. I just got a new one myself---a checkerboard heart behind my right ear. I got it on Jan. 23rd. It's just blackwork, and didn't hurt at all. Loved this video, and I feel bad about you freezing in your studio. If you lived in AZ, I could let you live in the tiny guest house we have on our property. It's 600 square feet, and my mother in law lived there until she passed away (no, she didn't pass in the house). That little house has an Amish stove, like our regular house does, and that gets warm real quick. Has a good AC unit too for the summer. (Jan Griffiths).

Kaya suggestion for beating the cold, Koreans floor heating mat, or korean sofa heating mat. They are a lifesaver here and electric. Just make sure you get the attachment and voltage. Korea uses 220v

I don't know if this is an obvious thing to recommend but I'm always cold and electric blankets changed my life. I would've never thought to buy one but my husband got me one a few years ago and I live in it constantly (even when I don't need to keep it turned on). We got another one for the couch in the living room so I can be cozy there and in my office chair without dragging my blanket around. I will never be able to go back to regular blankets. The heated blanket also makes me feel better mentally in general even if I'm not that cold. It's like a warm hug. I'm just recommending it in case you haven't tried them. It has helped me better than any other form of heating.
