I would like to know where the FansToys designers did a better job in your eyes. I owned Terminus and couldn't get the fat legs compared to the upper body, the stange looking hips and the giant gap due to a missing 'kneecap'.

BringMirSuppe Lol! Well I guess FT didn't want people to say their Omega skipped leg day so they gave him bigger legs lol. But in all seriousness, I like certain aspects of the way FT looks. I like how the hip joints allow for them to rotate back. Overall though, DX9 wins it for me.

I prefer the look on the FT and the engineering on DX9 even though there are small details where that changes, what I mean is that some times I prefer the engineer on FT and the sculpt on DX9. I was going to go for FT but then I found out a DX9 for 179USD and that is about half of the price I can get on FT, with figures this close to each other it's a no brainer, I'm buying DX9. Thanks for the comparison.

Definitely like the Fanstoys. The overall proportion, aesthetics, finish, paint apps and sculpt looks better. The face on the FT look amazing!

Toy Dojo I went with Fans toys. The colors pop more and like you said the face sculpt is much much better which is huge for me when deciding on a transformer figure.

King Sonny Not a bad choice at all. I do love my FT Terminus but sadly, after messing with Gabriel, I realized just how much more work FT could have put in to make him much better. But as I said in the vid, I'm not switching. Terminus will be my Omega.

I wish FT was more stable, but the look and presence is just amazing. DX9's colors look washed out and dull while FT just pops - demands your attention. Both are great though.

You and me both lol. If FT was more stable, I would say FT would be my favorite of the two but sadly he isn't :( The colors on FT for sure are better. They have those deeper tones that the DX9 one doesn't.

I have the reissue of FT-20, when I place the arms to the side it hardly leans back at all yours is bad. I heard they improved tolerances on Fanstoys version on later release

Cost is a factor as well. Fanstoys supposedly dropped their original price because of the low price of gabriel. And i believe retail price for ft omega is around $330-$350. And dx9 omega is about $280ish.

Gabriel's alt mode seems a little weak, but his bot mode looks better engineered for posing (playing). I really like holding and posing my figures and Gabriel looks to scratch that itch for me best. I'll probably pick him up. Also $100 cheaper so that's a nice bonus as well.

DX9 often has paimt chipping, and yes your milage may vary. They each have some things better than the other and I feel like it comes down to personal preference. And yes Gabriel is less expensive.

When reprolabels puts a set together for DX9 I think it will help for the plainness of the figure. I also wonder if there is a way to strengthen the outward shoulders. Either way, they both look really good.

Yes, I agree. Reprolabels/Toyhax will definitely make some great stickers for him, without a doubt! I am sure there is a way to strengthen those outward shoulders. I think it may involve buying some separate ratchets for it but seems plausible. I will see about taking off one of the shoulders to see what it looks like and see if it is an easy fix. I will update you on what I find.

I opened my Dx9 Gabriel as I watched this.. I am glad I waited for this one.. I will say FT did a great job with the paint and tempo grafs.. but being that unstable and wobbly was huge negative. the part A and part B idea was in my opinion awful.. dx9 price point sealed the deal for me. and on the wings I am one of those who see it the opposite. FT wing span was too much space on a shelf. Dx9 nailed it. looking forward to when toyhax releases the repro labels for Dx9 Gabriel. for the full bells and whistle effect.

I wonder if the large box had anything to do with it? And you are right, some toyhax stickers on Gabriel will make him look great!!! The colors pop better on FT but DX9 still looks good.

Both are great but i think the Dx9 is more play toy friendly rather FT is more a collectors figure. I have FT because he goes great with my Lewin resources Optimus prime and others. I put the extension upgrades on my Scorponok and Fortress Maximus so they’re a bit taller as well

Been watching all these comparison videos trying to decide. For anyone who likes Gabriel, now is the time to buy as he is by far the cheapest price. $170 last I checked. That said, I actually decided Wei Jeiang Ultima Guard is the figure for me.

Yeah, I’m going to have to go with dx9 on this. Every reviewer ive seen has said dx9 is just a little better. I think that if you already have fanstoys TG then it’s probably not worth switching up. However, if you haven’t bought one yet, it’s clear that dx9 is the way to go. Unless you want to pay 100.00 more for a different head sculpt. Which is ok! For me dx9 for sure!

Learning dx9 closed, I grab this when is still affordable and still cheaper than Fanstoys. Fanstoys has become fanboys toys. By this I mean people are just blindly buying for value not for the toy. I have the Fanstoys and now dx9, I personally think TT will not make one this size and these two will take center stage as the omega mp

That tightness in the legs is gonna be Gabe's downfall. These are BIG BOTS. I absolutely feel Fanstoys gave Terminus some give in the legs in the event he tumbles off a shelf. That's a lot of weight to crash down, but his legs will allow some absorption. Gabriel on the other hand is heavier and the leg joints are stupid tight. That means he will fall with a faster and harder impact, with zero give. Higher chances of those hips breaking right off. Plus he skips deltoid day. I'll stick with Terminus.
