Completely agree with your sentiment, the issue that I see many commenters having though is that some of these secrets are branded as "new to patch 7" when many have been there the whole time (like since launch). It's not that anyone is shaming for someone being new to the game, it's the gaslighting that some of these (and like a whole previous video from this creator) were not in the game before patch 7, when they were. Hope you're enjoying the game regardless!

That guy wasn't an aasimar, he was a Harper who was likely a Cleric since he could summon them, you're reading the summoner's account entry not the summoned. The wings were from Dame Aylin, thats why Balthazar says they're extremely rare. Because she's immortal she grows new ones when you free her.

You're right that Marcus's wings have nothing to do with this guy, but Olam was definitely an aasimar; that much is confirmed by the Inspiration goal for reading his journal referring to him as an aasimar. There's nothing in his journal about summoning aasimar, only about summoning his familiar (which since he refers to it as Corvin is probably a raven). The only reason his corpse says he's human is that the game doesn't actually have aasimar as a species people can be, and the developers weren't going to add in full support for it just for it to be on one dead guy.

Dude first two 1. And exploit with a mace, an obvious one, it says "this weapon", so it doesn't work as intended 2. Trader has always, since full release, has been there, since 1.0

Marcus' wings came from Aylin, not the Aasimar you find in the morgue. That Aasimar doesn't have wings because Aasimar don't always have wings and those that do only have spectral, not physical, wings and can only manifest them temporarily. Dame Aylin is exception, having permanent physical wings, because she is a direct child of a god. This is why Aasimar wings are so rare.

Yes, my take as well that Aylin wasn't just being killed as a rite of passage for Dark Justicers but being mutilated by Balthazar for whatever reason he makes up. And she heals from it all because, as she herself says, "it is my nature". Pretty messed up stuff. We can only assume the reason Ketheric was so hot to reclaim Isabel before it is revealed Aylin is still alive is because unless he tadpoled her she would never forgive him.

Jaheria has to be alive for her house to be open. Nightsong is irrelevant. You can kill Isobel (for the Slayer form, or just because you know you want DJ Shadowheart & want to keep Jaheria alive,) then tell Jaheria "the Absolute's forces happened." That'll let you invite her to your camp, after fighting off all the shadow cursed zombies. She can join after Ketheric's defeat, as usual.

Jaheira’s house is always open, her being alive isn’t a factor. The only thing that changes is the fact that her children (and animals) appear when she’s alive. Otherwise the house will be uninhabited, but you can still get Belm.

Monks already gain a passive at level 6 which makes their unarmed attacks magical. The admantine mace thing is entirely pointless.

Not pointless. Monks get their extra attack at lvl 5, but ki-empowered strikes at 6. If you plan to multi-class you'd be able to leave monk at 5 for something else.

Some enemies are also resistant to magical bludgeoning damage, so the level 6 passive would not be of use (only ignore non-magical resistance).

there's very few enemies in the game resistant to bludgeoning in the first place, I'm pretty sure that mace still isn't worth using. neat to know it does that though :)

monks make more attacks with their off hands if built correctly, so just holding the mace in their main hand might be better.

Only with thief multiclass. If you have a weapon in your main hand then you can only make unarmed attacks as a bonus action: 1 normal or 2 flurry of blows (double if using a thief multiclass). Whereas without a main hand weapon you get 2 more unarmed attacks through your main attack action (more if hasted / action surge from fighter multiclass).

@@Cyb3rM1ndMonks can make an Unarmed Stunning Strike as an action regardless of what weaponry is equipped. My monk is dual wielding Blood of Lathandar and a dagger, but I’m not stingy with ki points so I often just do Unarmed Stunning Strikes for all my attacks plus whichever Flurry is helpful (usually the prone one)

You don't actually need to drop the corpse in order to loot it. You can open the context menu and there will be an option for looting it.

From what I read in comments of other youtube video, its the difficulties, that make the difference. Supposedly it doesnt work on Tactician and Honor mode, but works on the easier ones.

You forgot to mention that you need to drop your gold before the corpse trade glitch to work, otherwise you end up paying for it anyway. I think the warlock bound weapon trade is better and easier to pill off. Besiees if you are anything like me, you play asma kleptomaniac and end up with more gold to know what to do with.

If it is non-magical, then yes. For example, would not work vs Bear Heart Barbarian.

Neat little thing. Anything that says "This ignores XYZ resistance", it does the same thing. I'm making my own magic item mod and have been tinkering around with magic item abilities and such. I don't think there's a way (or at least not an easy way) to make it so weapons like this DON'T make it a global passive rather then just being part of the weapons attacks.

I just discovered that you can leave a bunch of Autumcrocus at Meerna's grave. Is that her name? Meerna is a dog buried near the Arcane Tower, underdark act I. I decided not to dig up the grave because who cares about a slab of meat via push-button when you can leave a nice bunch of flowers by the grave instead.

Some of these secrets are just cheap exploits. Now the Grym thing is interesting, I think that is something Larian patched because in my very first play when I used heat metal on Grym it did trigger the superheated condition. So I think they patched it out

Dame Aylin because it isn't possible to get wings from other Aasimar (for other aasimar the wings are spectral, not physical).

They're from Aylin. You can find a letter in Moonrise Towers titled "A little gift" reading: "Marcus - I assume no explanation is needed for just how rare these appendages are, and I trust you shall make good use of them. You have a golden opportunity to please the General. Do not squander it. Access to the unwilling donor has proven difficult since the harvesting, but if I am afforded the opportunity, I shall pass along your gratitude. B." The 'appendeges' are the wings, the 'unwilling donor' is Aylin, 'harvesting' means they were cut off most likely, 'access has proven difficult' means Shadowfell is closed to Balthazar and 'B.' is of course Balthazar himself.
