The first Toyman I had seen in my youth was the jester version who was in The Challenge Of The Super Friends. Later on, I was introduced to the other version of Toyman in Superman TAS where he had a mask similar to a dummy and wanted revenge on the man who cheated on his father, who was a toy maker!

Hmm... Superman may have lost his biological parents but he was young enough that those memories likely faded to the back of his mind while being raised by another couple. Batman lost his parents but he at least still had Alfred. You man had no loving anybody after his father died.
