I was considering getting these types of tires with the same rim size and about the same width as well, but before I put them on, do you have to do any modifications to fit the toyo r888r tires on a stock 98-02 z28?

That will depend on the offset of your wheels.

You should try Nittos new 555R2s they stickier than an Nt05 DR and are actually gteat in the rain . They are NOT the same as the old 555R or G2 they are better than both . I run them on my 400rwhp fbody and i dead hook at 20mph in first. My friend also runs them on his 575rwhp C6Z and dead hooks at 30mph. But the 888r are also amazing you cant go wrong with either.

So you are saying the nitto 555R2 is stickier than the nitto NT05R?

Yes they are stickier according to Nittos own website , they got a quicker 60ft out of these new ones.

Nice! I have a 2019 ss 6speed with 500whp, I’m running 305/30/20 continental sportcontac6 on the rear on forgestar f14 20x11 rims. I can’t hook to save my life from a dig, but from a 30, she moves out.

Love the 6 Gen Camaros. My buddy runs those on a 481whp 13’ Camaro SS and has about the same results. They are good in the wet too.

You said 275 35 18 but then the new tires say 275 40 17 was that a mistake or did you go up in tire size

The 275/40/17's in the video were for a set of 17" zr1 wheels (front) 315/35/17 (rear). The 275/35/18's are indeed for the (rear) on the 18" wheels.
