Thanks for the video! Saved me some time and money as I was going to replace them all! Will have it diagnosed and just go with the one damaged!

You should still replace of them though since one went out it won't be long before another one goes out then another one. And don't waste your money on non oem which is Denso for the toyotas

Thank you for quick and easy demonstration. Had similar situation on my 03 Sequoia w same motor. mine ended up being a plug issue with broken porcelain. New plugs and then good to go. Thinking of having an extra coil pack on hand for when one does go.

I heard these Tundras don't like any replacement coils but Denso. Does anyone have any input on that?

I have had some luck with the TRQ “Performance” Coils from 1A Auto. I re- did entire top end of 4.7 at 340k mi. Would have loved to have the Denso coils but budget did not allow. They have been in for 5 mos and running well. I did keep a couple of original factory ones in case one goes out. They have lifetime warranty so I will take them up on that if one goes.

I’m dealing with this exact same code/engine behavior. New coil arrives tomorrow. Thanks for the vid.

That's what I heard too Denso only

My sequoia 4.7 had a misfire P0303 and intermittent rough idle and drive. Switched coil 3 to 1 and misfire ceased…no code since. I’m thinking the connector had some corrosion that got eliminated from unplugging and plugging back in to coil. Could have been your problem at the coil itself.

Good diagnosing and fix! I also moved the coil around and the misfire code followed where it was going so I knew it was the coil.

I think you should replace the spark plugs. As well since it may be that the plug may be worn out and be causing the misfire along with the coil

Yes, I ended up changing them later when I more misfires. That time it was the plugs

You unplugged the injector while waiting for the new coil pack to arrive, but I thought it's worse to run lean than rich?

Yes it’s worse to run lean than rich. But with the injector unplugged, it would not be firing at all as it was not getting any fuel.
