brother man... Please help out amigo here.. I got noise only when i put AC on after driving few miles it disappear. Its seems like the tensioner but i changed the tensioner and belt 2 years ago with Gates. Its a 2016 Rav 4. Also anything go wrong if I don’t change it ? I’m on tight budget Can't wait to hear from you. Appreciated Brotherr

Mine does a rattling noise when next to cars or wall especially when ac is on will this solve my problem

The rattle is always there when ur next to something sound bounces off and gets back to you

@@RBTheMechanic Thanks for the reply. I have a rattle whenever I turn my ac on for my 2012 Camry 4 cylinder. Its only in park and drive and whenever I drive or go over 2.5k rpm it will go away. AC blows cold. Rattle isn't consistent but happens often. I won't hold you liable, as I believe no one on here should since you aren't physically with my car, but in your opinion, do you think this could be because of a bad belt and belt tensioner?

@@RBTheMechanic Also, there is visible shaking with the tensioner when the AC is on whenever it makes the rattle/groaning noise. I look forward to your reply, hopefully soon since I plan on picking up the parts today in a few hours.

When I turn on the AC there’s a rattling noise and the belt tightening lever on the tensioner shakes in rhythm with the rattle. Will replacing the tensioner fix the rattle?

Only doing it will tell the outcome so if that’s what’s ur dignostic then go for it also it could be engine mount

@@RBTheMechanic well the symptom in my case is the rattle that comes when ac is on. I think it’s the tensioner but you said it might also be because of engine mount. So I’m wondering how to tell for sure which of the two is the problem.

@@Aziz-wl1xf oh ok I usully hold push against the tensioner to see if noise stops. And if rattling noise come with ac on and only when u put it in drive that usully means engine mount

Could be load from ac compressor making too much load I had that issue in toyotas

Relapce the belt with a number one step higher e.g if the number was 1940 change it 1935 the sequel will stop
