I have a Toyota Aurion 2012 here in my country and found this to be very helpful. Thanks for taking the time to upload this video. The Aurion is built on the same Camry platform but is a higher spec vehicle that also has the V6 as standard. The bumper install is the same with only a slight difference inn cosmetic appearance.

Good video. I have a 2012 Camry Hybrid and there are two differences that people should be aware of though. I don’t know if all 2012’s are different or if it’s just the Hybrids. 1. There are a total of 4 body clips holding the bumper cover in place on my car. The two you show and two more near the left tire. 2. There are four white body clips holding the plastic trim piece in the trunk (the piece that surrounds the trunk latch) that stopped me from pulling it out. I had to remove all of the clips holding it in and pull the plastic trim piece straight up to remove it.

I have a silly question - what is the purpose of those plastic push clips on the bottom of the bumper (2 of them, one for each side)? Do they serve any aerodynamic purpose, because I just bought a used 2014 Camry SE, and the thin plastic part where the clip goes through that's closest to the muffler has been broken off, supposedly by the previous owner making a mistake. Does that thin plastic piece where the push pin goes through keep the bumper stable to dampen vibration? Sorry for the lengthy question. It's a difficult piece to describe.

happywrenching is it the exact same procedure for a 2014 camry sport? I see that it's a different part online, and am wondering if i can use a standard 14 camry rear bumper cover to replace it, or if it's necessary to get the sport edition?

Yes the steps are the same on all the trims and while you could make the non sport bumper fit, I'm pretty sure it won't look quite right. The sides and rear of the bumpers covers are molded differently.

Some of it is the same - there are screws and clips on the bottom of the bumper as well as the one screw near the wheel well. I'm not sure how the center of the bumper is held in place though.

The steps are very similar but I'm not 100% sure that you have to remove the bumper cover in order to remove the light assembly. You may be able to remove it without taking off the bumper cover.

Do you mean the two sets of metal brackets near the opening of the trunk? If so, the bumper part sandwiches over and under the metal brackets that the clips are a part of. Hope that helps.
