Surely hope to be a V8, but considering Toyota's Le Mans history, I wouldn't be surprised if it was actually a twin turbo V6 hybrid package...

Should be a Lexus as a flagship coupe/sports car. It was NEVER meant to be made 'affordable'.
@TheBlueCreeper-7 күн бұрын
If they want to get away with the pricing, its HAS to be a Lexus. And then they can do a downgraded version as a Toyota. It shouldn't be a Supra, Celica or MR2 tho. The Supra is meant to be the V6, Celica was the 4cylinder, and the MR2 was mid-engine so those should be ruled out at least imo. Make it its own thing at the top of the lineup. Maybe a revived 2000GT?? 👀 That would be cool! The 2000GT is a GORGEOUS classic sports Toyota not many people know about so it would be nice to bring the name back and as a result, get more people to know about the original 60's car.

@CyanRooper7 күн бұрын
The overall shape does bear a strong resemblance to the RX7. However Mazda did recently make a concept car called the Iconic SP which is a hybrid rotary sports car that looks like a modernised RX7 that is as small as a Miata while this GR-GT car looks closer to a slightly bigger Honda S2000.

Why does it feel like Toyota/Lexus is a generation behind other car companies, Corvette proved the limiting factors of a front mid-engine layout, what happened to that mid-engine Toyota GR Super Sport concept, there's a reason Chevy changed the layout of the Corvette, besides, it isn't like all the other front mid-engine layout sports cars are selling like hotcakes, it's like when Lexus did LFA V10 when the competition moved to force induction V8, a hybrid force induction V8, about F___ing time, plenty of exotic brands have done this for their exotic sports cars already

The GT3 version will use a V8. Still no concrete info if it's NA or Twin Turbo, but the rumours seem to go with the TTV8). The road version will be a hybrid (following Lexus/Toyota's approach in electrifying their line up) with that V8 rumoured to be around 900hp but we shall see when more stuff coming around.
