Thank you. Very different cars but which one did you enjoy driving more, this or the GR Yaris. Looking at your expressions it seemed the 86 was more fun and natural for you, even though it is nowhere near as quick.

And we thank you for watching! They sure are two different cars with different personalities. I like the GR Yaris a lot, it sure is quick and nimble and overall outperforms the GT86. But as a classic and somewhat "back to basics sportscar " I prefer the GT86. But when the winter comes or you want play around in the rain or even on some even gravel roads, the GR Yaris once again picks the point. So again, very different cars, but I still lean towards the GT86. But why not choose both, If you can 😉

I am in the process of getting a GR86 and if there is one thing that I have come to realize is that unless you either have deep pockets and really love the platform this car is a true entry level sports car. If you want to use the full extent of the cars great handling you have start looking at oil system modifications because this car has the same oil cooling and starvation problems as seems to be common with other Subaru boxer engines. It's a fun car and its affordable which is why I got it but I have changed my mind greatly on using it as a platform to build upon to get better performance from instead opting to just get good quality tires, keeping it clean, and trading it in one day to get something a bit better that can be built upon like a Mustang or Challenger for example.

The disappointment is the tire noise in the cabin, at 110 km it’s uncomfortable to drive for over an hour and have a conversation. Wish they had better insulation. I had the GTS86 and I’m not getting the GR86 as the looks and noise inside the cabin has not improved that much. Cheers from Oz 🇦🇺

It's honestly not that bad. Rather put up with a bit more noise and have a lot more fun in the process than to drive something too tame. Plus if you're that concerned you could have added sound dampening and made ur car even slower 😂

I must say that it wasn't that bad at motorwayspeeds. Sure, some noise from the tires and overall noise at higher speeds, but nothing that made it bothersome. The interior could have been a bit more updated to match the exterior, because I think the exterior is way more elegant than the GT86. But anyway, these things doesn't matter to me, I would buy this car for the simple joy and pure nature of driving behaviour it delivers. It's just great!

@@ThunderGoatz Yes. The car mainly has one purpose, to get you happy driving senses into motion. And it really delivers. Something that ways up a bit on the comfort part is the seats, rather sporty and supportive but soft with just the right padding.
