and its a rolling lap so cars starting lap at different speed. A proper comparison lap should be from stand still with same driver, same conditions. Its the only way to compare cars really

Laptimes in motorsport aren't measured from a standing start. Its always a flying lap. 0-60 times are for starting from a stand still. Laptimes should always be a flying lap.

Tyres are the biggy. Same rubber on both and it would be very close.

The first thing I changed on my 86 was 1 inch wider rims and a good set of tires. Completely changed the grip on it .

@@JG-ze7md I have a BRZ and was wondering if you also changed the diameter of the wheel, mine is stock but debating to go for an 18 inch or keep it at 17 inch, your response will be greatly appreciated.

@@saulespino2510 Changing the tires will do most of the difference. I drived my BRZ on semi slicks on 16 inches wheels (205/55r16) in the last 3 years, way more grip than with the "standart" michelin primacy. Going to 18 makes sense mostly for looks or if you target precise tires (for instance the michelin PS4s, only available for18 inches and above)

I really love fifth gear but you need to work on your cinematography. To many jump cuts imo. It is still the same nervous camera style.

The poms are a mish mosh of both. They didn't have the balls (or maybe the intellect) to go fully metric. Australia did it properly. Km/h, kw, nm, mm is where it's at. Imperial is such a flawed system.

Vicki, are you single yet...no, well ok then, maybe next year... Since we don't get the Megane here, the BRZ/86 wins for me. I believe it is a great chassis let down by bean counter wheels/tires. The car has so much potential, I don't think people really understand it and is the main reason why it seems to be misunderstood. It is like going to a burger joint and being able to build a burger yourself, layer by layer, versus ordering it one way or another and getting it the way it was prepared by someone else and not really to your specifications. You can leave it plain and enjoy it or you can spice it up and enjoy it. Sky's the limit.
