@@yournightmare9999 Changing the oil on time won't prevent the long term reliability issues that turbo engines have. Turbos create a lot more stress and heat on the engine components and that inherently lowers the life span of a turbo engine compared to an engine without a turbo. There's no way around that problem. Changing the oil on time helps any engine last longer, but a turbo engine will eventually succumb to the pressures and repeated heat stresses placed upon it before a regular engine will.

So many vehicles don't come with them any more and it is like a giant middle finger to anyone who wants to check the fluid or even change it or keep the vehicle longer than 60,000 miles. They made that part easy but sadly the filter is just the same as others and you have to mess with the pan to get it off. They use silicone sealant too and not all manufacturers do that. The positive thing about silicone is it is less likely to leak. The negative thing is it has to be cleaned off to allow a good seal when a new seal is made.

I always liked Mazdas. Heck, a 1987 626 LX (with fuel injection!) was the first car I both ever rode in and ever drove! (Home from hosp, and sitting on Dad's lap working the pedals, lol) Family switched to Toyotas after that - hey, it was the 90s, it was _peak_ Toyota - but their designs have done nothing but improve, and the Mazdaspeed cars were so desirable back in the day. Always thought a V-6 manual first gen Mazda6 was pretty much the second coming of the original Taurus SHO. Anyway, I'd still love a late-model manual Mazda3 (as late as they come with manuals). It's great to know their quality continues to rise, and that they continue (for now) with NA engines and real planetary-gear automatics. Mazda always knew what cars are about.

You’re probably not old enough to remember Mazda’s 1975 radio jingle/commercial: “ Piston engine goes boing boing boing boing boing boing boing, Yet the Mazda goes Hmmmmmmmmmmm” CB

I have a turbo charged car. A ford escape. It's at almost 130k miles and still running smooth. Change oil every 5k miles. Run higher octane gas cause of the turbo and direct injection. Think I need to clean or replace the injectors though

My 300, Challenger and Ram has the 3.6 and the Ram has the Hemi all naturally aspired. The new Rams with the Hurricane 3.0 and the new Tundra with the V6 are headaches. I've had two Mazdas from back in the partial Ford ownership days. Still have the younger one that is a 2010 made at the Flat Rock plant and still going strong. Both made it over 500k with little more than routine maintenance. Lost the older one at 735k to a wayward whitetail that busted the headlight and bent the fender above it, and insurance totaled it.

I tested this CX30. Didn't liked it's cramped interior. It is good looking but Subaru's Crosstrek is much more roomy inside. They are both slow so just go with the one with better comfort. This Mazda 3 generation doesn't have multilink suspension either.

Damn, I was looking at one of those but I'm not willing to take chance with another Toyota yet. My 2020 Camry was the worst new car I've ever had. Toyota wouldn't, or couldn't, fix. Saying the problems are normal isn't fixing anything.
