Nice job. I used to wander down to watch a guy called Neil teardown and rebuild Automatics at the Holden engineering centre. Therapy from the engineering systems we had to work with. Learnt something new every time.

I really think it's very important to do a video before and after on road + interior, that would give us an idea on what gains and benefits. Never the less, I ordered an extreme over the nomad. I hope it doesn't shift hard while cruisering at low speeds without towing.

What are the benefits that you gain from the new valve body ?
@WholesaleAutomatics2 жыл бұрын
The Nomad Heavy Duty Valve Body upgrade is perfect for anyone touring, towing or running an engine upgrades such as a performance chips or flash tunes etc. When we build a Nomad Valve Body we increase base-line pressures which gives us far better clutch clamping forces, increase lock-up pressure, increased oil cooler flow, reduced transmission temperatures, approximately 1L/100km better fuel economy, better lubrication, all factory OEM valve body faults are resolved, approximately 10% better engine braking, 100% engine braking becomes available in 1st gear lock-up where a lock-kit has been installed, stunning crisp instant shifts removing all indecisiveness and shift delays giving an amazing driver experience and much better engine responsiveness. Each valve body is leak down tested before being fully remanufactured to the new Nomad Assembly. When your valve body is installed, your transmission becomes fully serviced and flushed with new oil, oil filter and pan gasket. All OEM upgrades are done. Each kit comes with step by step fitting instructions and as seen above a install video is available so anyone handy with the tools can complete the install. We also have about 50 installers throughout Australia for anyone preferring a completed install. automatictransmission.com.au/select-your-vehicle/toyota/landcruiser/200-series-turbo-diesel-with-6-speed-auto/?make=Toyota&model=LandCruiser&series=200%20Series%20Turbo%20Diesel%20with%206%20Speed%20Auto

Nice video, very informative, is there any chance in future the transmission of 300 series, 10 speed automatic be put in 200 series or 79 series landcruiser
@WholesaleAutomatics2 жыл бұрын
Not likely Mohammed. Customers would complain about the transmission constantly changing gears. They do that already. Better suited to smaller higher rpm engines.

Yes very much so, although I would recomend the Extreme valve body over the Nomad in this case. The Extreme will make a huge differnce. Here is the web link: automatictransmission.com.au/shop/extreme-heavy-duty-valve-body-to-suit-toyota-landcruiser-200-series-6-speed/

Don't we have to check the correct oil level when at correct temperature that's specified by Toyota?
@WholesaleAutomatics2 жыл бұрын
Yes, that’s correct. In the video when we were done topping up the oil level after the Nomad valve body install, we take a car for a road test and return to recheck the oil again. The oil has had time to heat up in the meantime.
@farhanm44172 жыл бұрын
@@WholesaleAutomatics so the road test is enough for the oil to get to operating temperature no need for a temp gauge to confirm?
@rrhistorian88282 жыл бұрын
@@farhanm4417 Toyota tech here, the transmission fluid should be checked with the scan tool connected, which raises the rpm’s slightly and also to ensure it is checked between certain temperatures to get a correct fill level. If the fluid is too hot when it is checked, you could be draining off too much when pulling the check plug.

So the new Heavy Duty Nomad Valve Body can be installed. Could also be to fix valve body faults or to inspect transmission for any number of reasons.

I have an '08 Sequoia with the 5.7/AB60E combo, and I've been throwing codes related to the solenoids getting stuck off. I drained/flushed/filled with a new filter, and it's doing better, but I still have some rough shifts now that it's getting colder here. I found a package for all of the solenoids at a reasonable cost, so my question is can the solenoids be swapped out while the valve body is still on the bottom of the tranny, or does it need to come completely off? From the video with the solenoids being swapped over to the new valve body, it looks like they can be swapped out with the existing body still in place.
@WholesaleAutomatics2 жыл бұрын
When you drained the oil did you remove the pan to see what was in the bottom? I'm suspecting you might find more. The video should show how they come off and yes they can but solenoids don't just get stuck for no reason. I think you will find more than you were hoping for and a rebuild is more likely.
@hoopin4you2 жыл бұрын
@@WholesaleAutomatics Yes, I removed the pan completely to inspect the magnets and clean them & the pan well before reassembly. Although the fluid was dark (which is to be expected), nothing out of the ordinary was found. I even cut the filter housing in half to inspect the inside filter, and nothing was found there either. The solenoids won't last forever (nothing mechanical ever will), and they can get gummed up. The Sequoia has 325K miles on it, and the previous owner last changed the ATF at around 214K miles...I changed it a few thousand miles ago. I can see how close the solenoids are to the edge of the tranny, but I can't tell if they could slide out all the way while the valve body is still mounted to the tranny. Guess there's only one way to find out for sure.

@@hoopin4you would love to hear how this went, I’m getttng solenoid codes frequently now that it’s cold. I did a full atf flush around 205k and now at 215k…. Didn’t remove the pan or filter. Keep us posted pls

If people are barely towing or have no tuning upgrades then yes but as you add more weight, larger tyres, engine tunes and start to tow then the Nomad valve body and lock-up kit makes a massive difference. In extreme cases possibly even an Heavy duty dual oil cooler and deep cast aluminium pan. Everyone has slightly different requirements but Nomad Valve Body and Lock-Up Kit are must have items.
