Is the frame painted or powder coated? Very nice work. I'm just getting started on my 1979 FJ40. Hope it looks half this nice.

It's painted. I removed all rivets for disassembling the frame. It got blasted to remove all rust. It got zinc flame sprayed, primered and coated in black. It was all done at a company that builds truck trailer frames. Paint would be the better option as the frame flexes. Thats what they to told me.

I'm located in The Netherlands. Most parts came overseas from the USA (Specter Off Road, Cruiser Solutions, Cool Cruisers, Cruiser Corps, E-bay USA. Bought it quit some years ago when the exchange rate was 100.-- US Dollar = EUR 70,--. Now its 100 US = 86 EUR. That favourable exhange rate still give me a 30% cheaper purchase price including the cost of shipping, import taxes etc. Visit my channel and look at the other subjects on my channel. It mentions where parts came from even incl. part .nr's.

+Zee B. Well, my daily driver now, except in the winter when they sprinkle salt on the roads when it's icy. It's too much fun (and too much work) to leave it in the garage. Because of it's age, it's exempt from road tax, It's cheap in insurance (although it's insured at the praised value) and it runs on Diesel. The current Diesel liter price is below € 1,-- per liter. So how much cheaper can you run a car ? Just don't break anything and drive carefully.
