Try a pair of parallel jaw pliers like the Knipex or similar and you can squeeze the two sides of the lock washer against each other. I used that technique with a lock washer on hex nut in wheel hub and it worked well

Wow, has it been that long already? It still feels like maybe a year or two ago that you bought it.

Would be still worth getting the alignment especially when the tie rod ends are so fresh. Easy to adjust :D

Yeah, definitely gonna get the tracking sorted properly once she’s road legal

You mean 17 Freedom Units? LOL One of the weird skills I picked up while working on vehicles was looking at a nut/bolt and knowing exactly what wrench I needed.

Is that whitworth or bsp? I can usually guess on the 2nd or 3rd try 😖 wish I had your skill, it would save a me a lot of walking to and from the tool chest

@@EnginesandUnfinishedBusiness You can cheat a bit. When I working on ATVs, I always brought a 10, 12 and 14 mm socket and wrench to the machine. That gets you 95% of the time. If there is a large bolt, most of the time it is a 17 mm, but then there is that weird one that is 19. It is a matter of over time developing the skill of telling the size. Like when I calibrated my finger to tell when water was 25 degrees Celsius +- 5 degrees. LOL

Kind of brings home how long she’s been off the road that I forgot how to do the windscreen washer 😖
